Quiverin’ And Quakin’ And Quaverin’ At Quayle

Drug cartels in Mexico vs. tax cartels in DC? Gateway Pundit (h/t) calls it the most honest ad of this political season.

You mileage may vary. Equating DC and Mexican drug gangs may be good, solid, hyper-pragmatic politics, but AZ’s Senator McCain and Quayle’s own family have helped staunch the Progressive tide how, exactly?
I’ve not seen enough Quayle material to form an opinion yet, but Gateway Pundit likes the lad.

    Quayle is cold, stale, burnt toast. In a field that large with several good conservatives, a wound like the online porn writing isn’t going to heal in time.

    That’s no reason to throw scat at his father or McCain, who is entirely unaffiliated with him.

    Seriously, you don’t give Dan Quayle or John McCain ANY credit for fighting against “progressivism” at all? Where the hell have you BEEN for the last 40 years or so, Albania?

    I had hopes for Ben Quayle among the pack in that race, but following his clumsy handling of the family values ad kids that aren’t his children and the wannabe pornstar persona he wrote under for that soft core porn gossip website, that latest ad is just creepy.
    Where’s he going when he stalks off into the shadows? Ducking out in search of the wildest woman in Washington since his days as a Scottsdale player are done?
    I know Dan Quayle, and Ben Quayle is no Dan Quayle. He’s got some s’plainin and maturing to do before he’s a legitimate candidate, but I suspect he’s going to get “the hell knocked out” of him in this race.

    @Estragon,
    Not so much credit to Dan Quayle or John McCain.
    Neither of these members of the Ruling Class have done much to stem the tide of Progressivism, AFAICT.
    They’ve waved the neo- and social-Conservative flag to hold power, all the while advancing the Ruling Class cause.
    When either one has their Road to Damascus moment, attends Tea Party rallies, and advances a Federalist agenda, I’ll cheerfully walk back the criticism.

    I don’t know who coined the phrase “tax cartels” but I like it and believe it has potential. What baffles me is why Juan Williams last night and the lefty pundits we’ll be hearing from today and this weekend are so shocked that Obama would be characterized as the worst president ever. I’ve no doubt that if there still a United States in 50 years that Pres. Obama will make everybody’s top five list of worst presidents.
