I’m not sure Donderooooooooo meant for you to include the Asian gangs there.

What really gets you about this is if that girl in the video had just happened to throw in there that she would never date or have sex with an Asian or Muslim the authorities might well throw her in jail for bigotry and hate speech and the British left would be fine with it. There would be a special educational sensitivity class in her future.

Disagree with you there a bit, Stacy. Between the decline in traditional family values and the disarming of the British populace, there’s little recourse for families whose daughters are attacked.

Unfortunately, Middle Eastern men don’t operate on our value systems. They probably see the refusal of men to stand up for these girls as evidence that the girls are trash, not that we have a different system of justice.

Roxeanne: I’m not saying that the girls shouldn’t be defended against these predators. I’m saying that if agitation leads to an anti-Pakistani “incident,” that’s going to be counter-productive.

That these British girls don’t have fathers to stand up for them — bastardy being a plague in the public-housing projects over there, as over here — is intrinsic to the problem. Theodore Dalrymple’s writings about the British underclass are very instructive because he sees so many problems among the poor in the U.K. that we, in America, associate with “ghetto” culture. But the poor about whom Dalrymple writes are white, which indicates that the real problem lies in the culture of poverty engendered by welfare policies, rather than being anything of a specifically ethnic nature.

And, of course, whereas “Asian” in British parlance evokes Pakistani hooliganism, here in America, the term “Asian” evokes valedictorians on their way to MIT.

Hrpmph. The fall of Civilization starts with the removal of virtue on the grounds that it keeps money away from you. That is the lesson of welfare state ‘family’ policies.
