I’m tired. I’ve driven a crapload of miles to Nashville and halfway back. I’m in a motel near Harriman, Tenn., and in no mood to liveblog the State of the Union address.

    You ain’t halfway back if you’re at Harriman. You’re near my old stomping grounds.

    I’m not wasting my time with the SOTU. Drunkblogging is probably the best way to take it. It’s not going to be about reality anyway, so why be connected to it when you watch it.

    Why bother watching it? To quote another blogger, “The SOTU is the most degrading spectacle in modern politics. I don’t care who’s in office. ”

    Not to mention all the transcripts released before the SOTU address, and the various rebuttals. Meh.

    I could not stomach the Dear Leader either! But I did watch Congressman Ryan’s response. This guy is the real deal. The Dems DO need to be worried about Ryan.

    Agreed – it invariably turns out to contain about two minutes of newsworthy info, surrounded by meaningless fluff.

    Life is just too short. Tell the SOTU to STFU.
