The Left Bank of the Charles breaks the grimness down, candidate by candidate, and it’s not pretty.
Trump himself, Bachmann, Pawlenty, Gingrich, Huckabee, Paul, Romney, and even Palin herself all have questions demanding answers. Who remains? Well, Col. Allen West, for one. But wait. I met him at CPAC a couple of years back. Was his accent just a bit gutteral? Did his right hand start to travel to his heart as he muttered salam alaikum before he jerked toward a handshake? Forget the birth certificate: we’d need a full DNA analysis to prove that he’s not really Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, now working undercover for the Iranians with the aid of some serious plastic surgery.
Ah, the Competencers. At last, a movement without so much bowel.
