SHOCKING REPUBLICAN SCANDAL!

EXCLUSIVE — Major news organizations were scrambling Thursday to confirm allegations of one of the most bizarre scandals in the entire history of the Republican Party, sources say.

“It’s incredible,” one GOP operative said, describing the desperate attempts by investigative journalists to confirm the shocking rumors that began swirling via e-mail about a sordid fundraising scam by a mysterious right-wing organization believed to be located in Masschusetts, known only as “American Glob.”

The Massachusetts connection led many reporters to assume that Republican front-runner Mitt Romney was behind the shadowy group. However, two independent sources confirmed that several organizers for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin were completely unaware that there was any such thing as an “American Glob,” or that my good blog-buddy Aleister’s car desperately needs a brake-job.

Excuse the melodramatic mystery fake-out, dear readers, but Aleister is a fine conservative blogger and he wouldn’t be rattling the tip jar if this wasn’t a major emergency. Not once in all the time I’ve known him has he asked such a favor, so I’m pulling out all the stops on his behalf.

    There’s Fast Orange for the filth, manicures for whatever happens to your hands (for women, at least), and basic physics for the labour part.  I use PVC pipe for leverage when my lug nuts are stuck.   (Okay, I cheat a bit – my dad got me a hydraulic car jack for Christmas, so I don’t have to do what first did, i.e. insert lousy car jack, take twenty minutes to get one tire off the ground, etc.)
