Workin’ hard, tryin’ to be surprised that Kenneth Gladney received a legal thrashing to match the physical one. No mention at Big Journalism, but if there is a fund to appeal this case, I should like to hear about it.
What is going on in St. Louis? The comments mention Casey Anthony. Has our legal system substantially turned away from the notion of justice?

Has our legal system substantially turned away from the notion of justice?

Just the opposite. It showed what could happen when a Democrat prosecutor overcharges a case to score political points because he’s going to be challenged for his seat by a law-and-order Republican.

    You can’t appeal an acquital.

And I’m glad of it. Next they need to do away with this crap of allowing lawsuits against defendants that have been found Not Guilty in a court of law for the very crimes they’ve been found Not Guilty of. This let’s destroy a citizen we don’t like by any means possible mentality is wrecking our justice system.

If you voted for McCain, you got EXACTLY what you voted for.

Two words are sufficient to prove you wrong:  “Sotomayor” and “Kagan.”

They assigned a prosecutor who was trying his first jury trial, and who allowed half the jury to be union members, and who failed to object to irrelevant statements being made by the defense in closing arguments.

Bottom line:  if you plan to enter the City of St. Louis, be prepared to defend yourself.  If someone approaches you in a purple SEIU shirt, assume they mean you deadly harm, and shoot them.
