A Democrat Admits the Truth

When a Democrat says something that’s actually true, that’s what we call “news,” and Rep. Pete Stark calls the debt-ceiling debate a “charade.”

“Charade,” “kabuki dance” — to-may-to, to-mah-to — Obama and Harry Reid are putting on a political pageant that doesn’t deceive anyone with enough brains to see what’s really going on.

Andy at AOSHQ calls Obama The Greatest Orator Ever™ — which is what we call a “joke.”

The way Obama repeated the same stale talking points — “balanced approach,” “millionaires and billionaires,” etc. — struck Charles Krauthammer as the height of cynicism:

How is Obama like a school in summer?

No Principles! Yuk! Yuk! Yuk! Oh, I slay me sometimes!

“… at least as smart as Contessa Brewer.”

Nothing like setting the bar high, so as to inspire . . . I’d be hard pressed to put Contessa’s intelligence over my dog’s, but I suspect other talents account for her success.  She’s somewhat more attractive, but my dog has a more engaging personality.

Both of them tend to repeat their mistakes, so it’s a wash on that category.

From what I know of both of them, my dog is less of a bitch.

You can’t get anything done without the principals being involved, but I respect the attempt to create sexual tension.

Is it getting hot in here, or do I just need another beer?

    Nope.

By the way, by following a strict policy of taking the diametric opposite position from Pete Stark over the years, I have amassed an unblemished record of being right.

Now, it has always been a charade in the past, and Pete is a bit long in the tooth, not that he could recognize a change in the trend of reality if it beat him vigorously about the head and shoulders (not to be construed as against that operation on its merits), but as the cool kids say nowadays, this shi’ite be getting real, home fry!

The phone starts ringing as soon as he makes the statement. “Get that man off the stage!!!!!”
