New Polls Confirm Presidential Surge of Best-Selling Author Herman Cain

Posted on | October 4, 2011 | 17 Comments

Three national polls published since the Florida straw poll on Sept. 24:

ABC News/Wash Post (9/29 – 10/2)

Romney 25% … Cain 17% … Perry 17%

Quinnipiac (9/27 – 10/3)

Romney 22% … Cain 17% … Perry 14%

FOX News (9/25 – 9/27)

Romney 22% … Cain 17% … Perry 19%

Furthermore, the liberal polling firm PPP conducted surveys in three states — North Carolina, West Virginia and Nebraska — and found Cain leading in all three! And here’s your “unexpectedly” news of the day:

Herman Cain is surging in the polls and on the best-seller  charts.
“This is Herman Cain,” a newly released memoir by the businessman and Republican presidential candidate, was in the top 10 on Amazon.com as of Tuesday afternoon.
Interest in the book has soared since Cain unexpectedly won the Florida straw poll on Sept. 24.

Just checked the Amazon Associates sales report. So far, we’ve sold three copies of This Is Herman Cain! and for each $13.75 you spend to buy his book, my commission from Amazon is 55 cents. If you bought 10 copies of This Is Herman Cain! I’d get $5.50. Wouldn’t This Is Herman Cain! be an excellent Christmas gift for your family and friends?

Herman:  1)  The MSM is not your friend, 2) the base wants a conservative who can take the fight to the Democrats.

You will face attacks in all directions.  Be tough but be Herman.  I know you can do it.

Be that candidate the base wants (and which you already are) and you will win the primaries.

I went on FrumForum (why do I do this to myself) and they had a post on how Herman Cain is the real deal…like Huntsman.  I won’t even bother to link.  Sometimes I cannot believe the depths of depravity some will stoop to.

I don’t think any of these polls are of Republicans.

    FrumForum?

Last night on AMC I saw the 1931 film of Stevenson’s classic tale, “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” starring Fredric March as the genteel doctor who was so thoroughly good he skipped society functions to perform charity surgeries.  His evil alter ego, Hyde, ventured to the seedy side  of town, where there was drinking in public houses with music and women of questionable reputation.  His world was built of sin and evil, a dark, violent, degenerate place.

But even Hyde stayed the heck away from the FrumForum.  Drink the antidote quickly, Joe!

Because Zuckernerdenberg (or whatever his name is) decided to tweak the features again.  He does it just because he can.  Annoyed?  Switch to MySpace!  Oh, you can’t.  You’re hooked.

At this point, the “actual numbers” in polls aren’t very informative.  What is useful to measure is the trend, because even with the limited attention spoiling samples and skewing results in polls this far ahead of the ‘real’ contests, if different polls and pollsters are showing similar trends that is a very good sign it is happening on the ground.

Clearly Cain is trending up, Romney is such a flat line from month to month it’s alarming, Perry is trending down, Gingrich is up a bit and Paul down a bit, while Bachmann is trending out the door (being held for her by Santorum) and down to the curb (where Huntsman is trying to hail a cab in Mandarin and Johnson languishes in the gutter).

Love it,  Raising Cain.   Herman Cain’s brilliance, on matters of the economy and Conservative values,  could put America back on track again.  Looks like it’s time to go make another donation.  This is awesome news.

I haven’t seen a surge in the early states thus far, not to say it isn’t coming, but national polls don’t mean much in a state by state primary race.  The fact that he’s leading in NC, NE and WV is meaningless if he loses in IA, NH and SC.
