The Democrat Agenda 2012

Posted on | July 18, 2012 | 34 Comments

Far be it from me to be intolerant or judgmental, you understand, but when I check Memeorandum and see a story like this . . .

Web campaign targets Romney’s
‘extreme anti-LGBT agenda’

A pair of liberal super PACs are teaming up on a new Web campaign that accuses Mitt Romney of advancing an “extreme anti-LGBT agenda” that would make life worse for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Americans.

. . . I can’t help but think of this:

Is it just me? Is there anyone else who has a hard time imagining Harry Truman doing a 1948 whistle-stop tour, proclaiming that Tom Dewey was hostile to “transgender Americans”?

Has the Democratic Party given up on winning over blue-collar workers and small farmers, and decided that its most important constituency now is the cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show?

I should do a separated at birth on this.  Riff Raff looks a lot like RSM.

How about another item on the Dhimmocrat’s 2012 agenda: manufacture a financial crisis.

The Dhimmocrats are not playing a fiddle while Rome burns, they are lighting the fires.

This sort of post is the reason a lot of folks just don’t give a damn about you and your alleged troubles with Mr. Kimberlin.

Well people should give a damn because it could be anybody’s viewpoint under fire—liberal, democrat, conservative, libertarian, secular—First amendment rights should not be hindered by mob mentality or sociopaths. So someone posts/prints/broadcasts something you don’t like, it doesn’t mean their family or livelihood should be threatened, wouldn’t you agree?

Hmmmmm….only one post under this e-mail, according to his profile.

Either this is a long time lurker, or a troll.

And since Alex brought up Team Kimberlin, unprompted and unrelated to the post, I’m leaning towards a troll.  Maybe even NR hisself.

[…] seeing a meme on Memorandum about Romney’s alleged “extreme anti-LGBT agenda”, Stacy McCain wonders if the party of Weiner is becoming the party of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Share […]

They’re one of the Democrats most important group of donors, so they have to kiss up to them every now and then.

I’m going to mention that reading the Wall Street Journal every morning has me convinced there is a financial crisis coming that will make ’08 look like a tempest in a teapot. LIBOR and Peregrine are harbingers.

I wouldn’t call you *intolerant* Stacy–afterall, you let me sit in your lap and had me drive you back to your hotel after the GOProud party at last year’s CPAC. Still, as a ‘transgender American,’ I’m not a fan of being compared with Rocky Horror.

if, when you think of gay citizens and their concerns, all you can see is the cast of a freakish (albeit fun) cast of a rock musical, you may be part of the problem.

Such is the liberal mindset: someone, somewhere might still hold to a hidebound, traditional value. He might even dare post it on the Internet! This is a problem – no, THE Problem.

And for any problem, ineffable social justice requires a solution. Commissars like “el-polacko” (following the footsteps of S?u?ba Bezpiecze?stwa Ministerstwa Spraw Wewn?trznych) may never rest until such solutions are implemented.

They’ll move on to, “and they have warts, and they smell funny,” before long.

Over at Scoops, KenInMontana made a great analogy, it’s like the guy in a gunfight who runs out of bullets and soon all you hear is “click, click, click.”

That’s what these idiotic accusations are like.

Geez, and all this time the rest of us have been getting bent over and screwed for nothing.   Wonder what we could get for heterosexual missionary position sex?  I’m old but willing to trade sex for liberty.  Course mama always said you can’t sell what you’re giving away……

It isn’t all I see, nor the worst depiction.  If their sexual identity continues to be how they primarily identify themselves then they don’t give others much else to draw from.  And that’s a problem they’ve created for themselves.

Thanks oh breath of fresh air in the mancave.  It’s comforting to know that we will all be equally economically destroyed soon regardless of our sexual orientation.

If Romney were Jewish, would they complain about an ‘extreme anti-BLT agenda?’

Considering that taken as a whole, these types make up three percent of the population on a good day, what does it say about the leftists that they are so keen on courting them?

For that matter, what does it say about the left that they would seek to court anyone on the basis of their sexual interests?  Aside from lunatic busybodies trying to tell others how to live, and childish people seeking the validation of others to assuage feelings of shame and personal inadequacy, nobody cares what someone else does in bed with another consenting adult.

Politics is about public policy, not what people do in private.  It really smacks of desperation that the leftards would pander to people on the basis of what turns them on, as if Mitt Romney gives a damn.

At my first tea party rally in Chicago, one of my signs was “The Barracky Horror Picture Show”. Michelle Malkin used that line on Fox a few months later. Fox was at the same rally (I’m still in their stock footage reel holding that sign, and one of the speakers was from Fox Business), though I think the wordplay is obvious enough she could have come up with it independently.
That said, I envisioned Harry Riff, Pelosi as Magenta, Barney Frank n furter, etc. Maybe the ghost of Hayek can be Dr Scott.

I don’t know if it’s true that Nero had something to do with the fires in Rome, but I have heard it rumored.

I’ve been amusing myself looking for parallels:

    Augustus:Reagan
    Tiberius:Bush I
    Caligula:Clinton
    Claudius:Bush II
    Nero:Obama

Michelle (may she live and blog forever) should take you to a Cubs game, my friend … so you both can tell the outfielders that they really didn’t catch those fly balls; it was someone else, like the spirits haunting Wrigley, those who were a part of the last Cubs team to make the Series, who helped you two catch those fly balls.
