The Left’s War on True the Vote
Posted on | October 19, 2012 | 14 Comments
As polls continue to show surging momentum for Republicans ahead of Election Day, left-wing groups allied with the Democratic Party and the Obama campaign have orchestrated a nationwide attack on conservative-led efforts to prevent vote fraud.
Maryland Democrat Rep. Elijah Cumming has sent letters to Houston-based True the Vote requesting “specific documents about the manner in which True the Vote and its affiliated organizations have been challenging the registration of thousands of voters across the country based on insufficient, inaccurate and faulty evidence,” Politico reported yesterday.
Cumming’s letter is one of the most recent attacks in the Left’s carefully coordinated war against True the Vote, which has pledged to deploy 1 million volunteer observers to prevent vote fraud in the 2012 election. True the Vote has been targeted by threats of investigations, lawsuits and criminal prosecution. As Brentin Mack of the left-wing Nation magazine wrote today, “civil rights lawyers and government officials … are striking back against” the group. Democrats and their allies perversely claim that it is somehow illegal for True the Vote to help prevent criminal violations of election law.
The Left’s “accusations of voter intimidation” against True the Vote are “entirely false,” the group’s founder, Catherine Englebrecht said today during a conference call.
Kendric Ward of Watchdog.org has detailed how True the Vote is being targeted by a coalition that includes the ACLU, NAACP and AFL-CIO. Engelbrecht said today that her group has received a large “amount of hate and electronic warfare,” including attempts to shut down their Web site. Quin Hillyer of The American Spectator has called on Republican leaders to defend True the Vote.
Even as True the Vote is under siege, however, major media organizations are actively assisting the Left’s effort to demonize the election-integrity group, with Jack Feeley and Kristofer Rios of ABC News singling out True the Vote in an article recycling claims about “voter intimidation.”
True the Vote was formed after the 2008 election by Engelbrecht, who exposed illegal voter registration activity by a member of the left-wing group ACORN. Most recently, the group exposed cases of voters double-registered in Florida and other states.

“…has called on Republican leaders to defend True the Vote.” Quin has always lived on his own little planet, in my opinion. He expects the RINO elites, who have been silent about voter fraud for a decade, to speak up all of a sudden?
News flash: the GOP Establishment LOVES things the way they are. Absolutely love, Love, LOVE it! They can pretend to be conservative for the folks back home, then when the Dems win, there’s an excuse for surrender. (Minority party has no power, and all that, but only while the GOP is the minority party).
I believe the media will keep it close, and Obama will win, probably with some handy-dandy voter fraud. Sorry — I just can’t see the Dems letting this one get away. “At all costs,” and this is their best chance to ruin America the way they want to.

We’ll get back to you on November 7th, Elijah.

“Quin Hillyer of The American Spectator has called on Republican leaders to defend True the Vote.”
Ha, ha, ha. Good luck with that.

“We don’t challenge based on insufficient, inaccurate or faulty evidence. Now piss off,” True the Vote did not say in response.
…out loud.

Brett Kimberlin, who is alleged by the Left to be one of the heroes of election integrity, is so hard at work that he says he can’t make it to court for any hearings until after 6 November.
Please note that the hearing on sanctions against him is on 26 October.
Also note that Mr. Kimberlin is not registered to vote. Maryland doesn’t permit a felon to register until all of time of his sentence has expired.

I am unfamiliar with this particular group, so I cannot defend them. I do know Elijah Cummings is a blustering liar.
Do you understand how the main ongoing voting scam works, and why Democrats are so adamant in opposing ID laws?
Forget the “vote-finding” in recounts and absentee ballot fraud, they are nearly impossible to stop, and ID laws do nothing to prevent them (even if an ID is required to request an absentee, there is no guarantee that person gets or returns it himself).
See, there are hefty segments of the Democratic base who don’t vote. Oh, they’ve been registered for years, many since the idiotic Motor Voter and other such projects made voting not require the slightest civic effort. Some may have turned out in 2008, but most didn’t even bother then or ever.
So, if your precinct captains know who these folks are, you just send workers from across town to the polls to vote for them. No one knows them because the person never votes.
Of course it isn’t caught and so “there is no massive voter fraud ever proven.” But with voter ID it would be.
That’s why they scream so much. Without cheating, Democrats would never win a close election.

It’s a reasonable attempt, since one of his means of eliciting donations is the whole ballot integrity claim, although he’s never actually demonstrated that he’s done anything about it which required spending even a dollar. It’s sort of like Maurice Deese’s SPLC scam, all you need to do is talk about something that scares guilty rich liberals, and they send in the money.
It works on the right, too, like this current commercial for “the Romney Online Pledge Petition” – they just want to get a bunch of email addies so they can sell stuff later. They aren’t doing anything for Romney, and neither does their “petition.”
But the judge has discretion over granting delays or excuses on the employment claim, and this one didn’t buy it. In Virginia, if you’ve been delaying at every turn, judges are less sympathetic about future delay requests.

Tell you what, Elijah, when True the Vote is standing outside polling places with billy clubs, get back to me. Until then, go fuck yourself with a swordfish. Sideways.
