Put Stakes In The Hearts Of Fanny Mae And Freddy Mac

This is area #234,125 for the GOP to come out with dramatic reform, to convince voters they are not part of the problem:

At ~4:00, recent Republican Artur Davis makes a brief appearance. So, he clearly has some insights into the nature of the discussion. It would do my heart proud not only to see Davis run for Congress again, now on the GOP ticket, but to champion a federalist solution that notes:

  • All houses exist in exactly one state
  • The Community Reinvestment Act was a 10th Amendment violation,
  • The result of he CRI has been economic devastation, irrespective of whatever the Good Idea Fairy was thinking,
  • The time has come to return housing management to the 57 States.

If the Republicans are willing to talk substantial reform, the suspicion that GOP means “Glorified Obama Pets” might abate.

I’d like to put a stake through the heart of the Good Idea Fairy as well. But that particular target is disseminated across land, and remains highly elusive.

In the meantime, Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac will do nicely.

    You listening, GOP?

“If the Republicans are willing to talk substantial reform…”

    .

The Republicans are willing to compromise and/or cave to the Democrats as long as no one upsets the status quo.

That portrait of the good idea fairy is inaccurate. Everyone, except Naval Officers, apparently, that the good idea fairy wears a Green Beret.

Used to wear a Green Beret. Now he wears a CVC helmet.

Look, it’s what a Google search coughed up.

Wonderful idea. Impossible to effect now that we’ve shot ourselves in both feet to cripple leadership.

We are destined to rule by Continuing Resolution from now on.

The GOP needs to campaign on the idea of returning to proper budgeting.

The GOP leadership loaded and aimed the weapon, and squeezed the trigger at least once with the sequestration debacle. Probably twice, from the accounts of Boehner ignoring the reports of no support for his “Plan B”.

But we handed the weapon to these clowns years ago. This is merely a day of reckoning. With more to come.

Rep. Lacy Clay’s name could be used in a newpaper’s Jumble puzzle.

The Good Idea Fairy is *not* a 19E or 19K. Tankers are too cynical to ever accept the Good Idea Fairy. SF, not so much. 🙂

I should have said “wears a CVC helmet and is a field grade”. ;-P

Everyone knows that the promotion board for Field Grade performs a lobotomy on successful candidates. In the Navy it’s for O-5. That’s why Smitty accepted an inaccurate pic.

Yeah, because real leadership is dissing the people who put you back into the majority in 2010 despite your RINO refusal to support anyone who wouldn’t kiss sufficient ass.
