Dear Texas: Please Secede Now

Posted on | January 17, 2013 | 31 Comments

That’s my spontaneous reaction to the declaration of corrupt New York Democrat Charles Rangel about the gun control issue:

New York is different and more progressive than a lot of areas in other states, and some of the Southern areas have cultures that we have to overcome.

President Obama has issued 23 executive orders, which Mark Levin declares are “un-American” and “fascistic,” and Texas Gov. Rick Perry says:

“The Second Amendment to the Constitution is a basic right of free people and cannot be nor will it be abridged by the executive power of this or any other president.”

Hell, yeah. So when are you Texans going to secede, so all us freedom-loving Americans can move to Texas and escape the fascistic power of corrupt dishonest “progressives” like Charlie Rangel? Because I’m thinking maybe they’ll think twice about the need to “overcome” an independent Republic of Texas with a population of 26 million.

From what I understand, Texas has the right to split itself up into as many as five states. Eight new GOP Senators from _____ Texas wouldn’t give the GOP immediate control of the Senate, but Chuckie boy wouldn’t be feeling so confident if the Senate was divided 55-53 instead of 55-45.

We would, of course, welcome y’all, but y’all have to leave behind the ideas that kept you from moving earlier.

McCain, they will never let us go. Not EVER.

Texas has 29 of the nation’s oil refineries (the largest number by far), 10 of which are large capacity production plants (over 200,000 bbl/d). This means we supply the country with a huge chunk of it’s fuel.

Also, Texas has the second and third largest ports in the US in terms of total trade. With regards to foreign imports, the Port of Houston is the largest. In fact, out of about 150 ports in the US, Texas has 6 in the top 25. I’m pretty sure imports play a significant role in our economy.

Rangle and his ilk may ridicule us…but they don’t really want us to leave. Like he said, they just want us to submit. Unfortunately Mr. Rangle, it’s not in our DNA to kneel.

TYRANNY! Except that Obama has issued the fewest executive orders of any president in 100 years. http://dld.bz/bZ9Xy

Also, the US Army will get a head start “overcoming” Texas, since there are two armored divisions an hour’s drive north of Austin at Fort Hood.

Just as folks had to see for themselves that the Soviet Union was too big to successfully govern its many peoples, Americans are realizing that DC is too centralized to work. The right of self-determination is as basic as the right to self-defense.

Oh, I can see it now: “Let us go, or we sent Ted Cruz back to the Senate for a second term. Let us go, and we take all those sure-thing electoral votes for the GOP (not to mention Ron Paul) with us.”

It’s in the Democrats’ interests to let Texas go.

The American Republic can work at it’s current size if, and only if, the balance between the national government and the states is restored to the way it was at The Founding. Starting mid-19th Century, the states began losing their Constitutional place through the efforts of Leftists at both the state and national levels.

As in the 18th Century, our only cope for a restoration of our freedoms and liberties lies in the states [colonies].

The national government is a lost cause.

Actually, Joe, some of us live in other parts of the South a/k/a the “Bible Belt” and we like our states and our Southern friends. But if our own states won’t secede before it’s too late to keep from going down with the ship, we hope that y’all will welcome us to Texas. We certainly won’t be bringing along any of those types of ideas that you quite rightly object to!
