What Coordinated Messaging Looks Like

The Left does this “Meme of the Day” trick all the time, but I thought this example (via Memeorandum) was particularly obvious:

House Republicans Strip Protections From
LGBT Victims In New Violence Against Women Act

Think Progress

Top Dems Reject House GOP’s Violence
Against Women Act: ‘Simply Unacceptable’

Talking Points Memo

VAWA 2013: House GOP Unveils Bill With No
LGBT Protections, Modified Tribal Provision

Huffington Post

And further coverage by  MSNBC, Taylor Marsh, The Democratic DailyRachel Maddow, Booman Tribune and Daily Kos.

Andrew Breitbart loved to use the term “narrative” to describe how liberals deliberately control the media message for political purposes. Most of the time, it’s not a conspiracy, it’s a consensus. (The media votes 89% Democrat.) But every once in a while, you see the same message simultaneously transmitted in nearly exact terms by so many outlets . .. Yeah, the polite term is “coordinated messaging.”

James Carville famously observed that if you see a turtle on top of a fence post, you know it didn’t crawl up there by itself.

Just sayin’ . . .

@smitty_one_each And we need to do the same for the low info voters. It’s obvious, I know, but just saying.

They call each other in the morning to make sure they’re all wearing the same thing that day.

Why is the left pushing the Violence Against Women Act when the libs have already said that all a woman needs to protect herself is a ballpoint pen and a barf bag? Problem solved.

Call it what you will, but it’s real name is “Success.”

Conservatives could use more success like that – with rules like – bloggers don’t endorse candidates, they endorse ideas; or something radical like inviting even RSM to conservative blog parties.

Conservatives are divided. Conservative voices even more so. Invoking Godwin’s Law tangentially, if Adolph Hitler was the Prognazi POTUS, Charles Schumer and David Axelrod would be organizing and coordinating his Final Solution message and TPM, HuffPo, DKos, Think Progress, NYT and WaPo would be out there pitching like it’s the best thing ever – and Hollywood would chime in with an Oscar-laden film about the wonders of waterless showers.
Conservatives? Can’t agree on corn flakes or puffed rice for breakfast.

Wait…if it’s called the Violence Against WOMEN Act, aren’t female LGBT’s covered by default? (Well, make that female LB’s. And XX-chromosome-born T’s, the ones that are actually female.)
