Dissent Must Be Abolished!

Scott Lemieux (@LemieuxLGM) is a totalitarian commissar trapped in a college professor’s body. This phenomenon — trans-Stalinism — has become increasingly common in American academia over the past 30 years, as Marxist intellectuals strive to liberate universities from the reactionary oppression of bourgeois dissent.

So, a well-meaning columnist for a Canadian paper asked whether the trend toward supporting “transgender” identity in young children is really as good an idea as certain activists nowadays would have us believe. In fact, some therapists and academic researchers have profound concerns about this trend. Predictably, Margaret Wente’s column pushed Lemieux’s button.

THIS CANNOT BE PERMITTED!

Wente is “revolting . . . a crackpot” and, most horrifying to Lemieux, Wente is “being paid to write these atrocious columns.”

How dare she? A journalist committing journalism for money!

Certified Reactionary Hater™ Donald Douglas quotes Wente at length.

Wente’s column doesn’t seem like transmisogynist homophobia to me, but Commissar Lemieux reserves to himself the authority to detect and denounce deviation from the Approved Ideology.

OBEDIENCE IS FREEDOM!
DISSENT IS OPPRESSION!
DOUBT IS HATE!

You will think what the Commissar tells you to think — or else!

I’m beginning to think college professors are a social construct..oh wait…

Horrific though it is to consider, it is clear as day that there are parents out there that are actually transgendering their kids. It’s a great way to get some traction on your Munchausen by proxy disorder.

This whole business is being advanced by adults, who are using children for their experiments. The fact that there are parents who are stupid enough to sacrifice their own children so such travesties is beyond comprehension.

    +1 for “travesty”…

Dija know the “travesty” and “transvestite” have the same etymology?

Strangely enough, the DSM manual still lists “gender dysphoria” as a psychological disorder. But I’m sure that will change, once political intimidation comes to bear.

As Theodore Dalrymple pointed out, “None of this excludes the possibility, of course, that some diagnoses will run afoul of pressure-group politics by the time the DSM-6 comes out. How long, for example, can gender dysphoria disorder survive every right-thinking person’s moral duty to celebrate transsexualism?”

These aren’t necessarily parents. The only parents I’ve read about are lesbians who adopted (or one of the women gave birth to) a boy. Children nationwide have been exposed to Arne Duncan’s pro-LGBT curriculum and the NEA. Kids will hop on whatever bandwagon is currently popular: yesterday Justin Beiber, today transgenderism, tomorrow? The exception being that if these kids go through gender reassignment, they will be medically/health-wise f*cked up for the rest of their lives. And all those conservatives who oppose this? Taxpayers and insurance-premium payers who are paying for today’s procedures and will be paying for the transgendered persons medical and mental health bills in the future. This is Arne Duncan’s legacy.

I wish it were truly ‘beyond comprehension’, but the truth is all Ideologues value ideas over people, dogma over Human Beings. So, this is not surprising if you think about it – just merely Ideology on the road to it’s logical ends.

    Ideology Delenda Est!

There are children who are truly transgendered at birth and parents and doctors have to choose which one makes the most sense. They may be xy but are hormonally and physically women. They may be hermaphrodites (which is extremely rare) or failure of testicles to develop properly (so the fetus develops as a female). That sort of gender surgical and hormonal adjustment and reassignment has been going on for well over forty years. Assisting in that is perfectly appropriate and should not be any controversy.

Then there are the mental cases…

No, the birth condition is called intersex. Transgenderism is purely of the psycho-social-fetish category. People with intersex conditions actually have something observably, empirically different about their genes or their body. Transgenderism is all about what’s screwy between the ears.

The mom of that 6 year old in Colorado, where they were suing the school? She was already semi-notorious in mom circles online because she’s a far-out attention seeker with some fairly obvious issues. It’s so sad to see someone like that get away with ruining her kid’s life.

  • concern00

That’s the one that prompted my post. Kid is called Cioy Mathis. He has a disabled sister whose disability can pretty much be traced to the mother’s negligence. With a disabled and now a transgendered child she’s a Munchausen darling. Father, though not transgendered, is effectively neutered.

And like many other forms of child abuse, the left celebrate it.

Yep mom birthed the triplets in a kiddie pool in her living room with under the table midwives, liveblogging all the way. The girl triplet became severely disabled a couple months later when an infection got out of hand. At that exact same time is when mom is now claiming in the news media that Coy revealed his “gender preference” by reaching for his (hospitalized and severely ill, possibly dying at the time) sister’s blankie. Of course that is a totally unbiased reading of his action, not at all related to the parent observing it being a little bit nuts. And ita on the dad, it’s very sad to watch.

  • Zohydro

We need a “separated-at-birth” montage of Nicole Maines’ and Coy Mathis’ parents…

  • Käthe

Mr. McCain, please write up this case…it’s so horrifying but not at all surprising to those of us who have been observing the progression of this ideology…people need to hear about it because the progressives keep crying “surely no male would ever pretend to be transgender just to gain access to women’s private changing rooms and shelters!” Well…

An “extra” boy, and mom always wanted a girl, perhaps? How terribly convenient for the parent with a festering personality disorder!

  • Quartermaster

    Transvestites are travesties.
