The Brutality of Kurt Schlichter

Posted on | May 13, 2014 | 46 Comments

Of course, I mean brutality as a compliment, expressing my admiration of his skillful demolition of a liberal “argument”:

Mock them. Accuse them of adhering to a transphobic cisnormative paradigm and start shrieking “Hate crime!”
Don’t worry about not making sense. They’re college students. They are used to not understanding what people smarter than they are tell them.
Respectful argument should be reserved for those who respect the concept of argument. The sulky sophomores who babble about privilege do not. They only understand power. And we give them power when we give their nonsense the respect we would give a coherent argument.
They deserve only laughter. . . .

Read the whole thing. Somebody ought to teach classes in this kind of rhetoric. And that column should be included in the textbook.

The best response to things like that is to mock them, ceaselessly.

Other than perhaps Hillsdale College, I do not think they teach stuff like this anymore at schools.

Other than of course the school of hard knocks.

Kurt Schlichter is my president. Now go get me a latte.

  • Scoob

Liberals like to use belittling non sequiturs. It deserves the same in reply, such as “What difference does it make!?!?” or “That was such a long time ago–you should just move on.”

  • Cactus Ed

Now if the bullshitter does not care about truth, what does he care about? He care about himself, about making a certain impression. His aim to (mis)represent himself as knowing what he does not know or more than he actually knows.

Such is the argument rebutted by Kurt.

It’s only brutality if you consider common sense brutal.

  • Lance Burri

He must mean transnormative cisphobic, I think. Because otherwise that doesn’t make any sense.

  • http://evilbloggerlady.blogspot.com/ Evi L. Bloggerlady

You speak batshit crazy double plus good.

  • https://twitter.com/AnaMyID Anamika

You know what’s even better? Laugh at, mock, and ridicule right wing fanatics who do not enjoy being ridiculed.

  • Atari 2600

Can a sane and morally decent person be like Anamika?

  • ZZZZZZZZ

    BUAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

    zzzzzzzzz…….

  • Anon

Yes, I know. There are some people around here mocked and ridiculed many times over…

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

They are so inane with this bizarre idea of privilege they are hosting a White Privilege Conference to discuss it more seriously.

Something about making shit up just gets good to them, and they print it on flyers and wa-laa, instant facts! Like “Racism was invented here, in the Colonies.”

I’m guessing few of them know much about the colonies, other than the fact that colonialism is bad. Especially if Churchill is involved. Future Senator Blutarsky’s “Germans bombed Pearl Harbor” is more closely related to history than the crap these people make up.

  • Quartermaster

The Krauts did bomb Pearl didn’t they?

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Yep. It was all potatoes, though.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

We need to make up our own bafflegab. Carve out our own battlespace, so to speak.

    Transcistors and Heterodykes.
    Fimbulwomen and Phobistulas.

I can do this all day.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Latte? Is that an admission against interest?

  • uselogic19

Heffalumps and Woozles. Just sayin ‘

  • Zohydro

You just may be on to something here, K-Bob!

  • joethefatman

    Nice

It means, “You paid too much for that coffee.”

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

It’s prob’ly just my glossolalia kickin’ in.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Heh. I used to live near Zingerman’s Deli. Even a plain coffee is about an hour’s wage.

But it’s really, amazingly, freaking good coffee.

  • UtterShite

Please…he got completely owned on Twitter.

He’s probably a repressed homosexual, especially with all that bullshit machismo, and superiority, too. No way that shit is real.

  • John 8:44

I don’t doubt it, considering that Schlicter stands firmly behind homosexual sodomy.

What kind of so-called “conservative” embraces the crime against nature that is homosexual sodomy?

  • richard mcenroe

Met Kurt at an Operation Gratitude function (www.opgrat.com) where he was representing the Guard. Great guy. Adorable kid.

  • richard mcenroe

The problem with that claim, Scooter, is that anyone who wants to can go on Twitter and check.

  • richard mcenroe

And it was real enough when he was on the end run in Iraq in Gulf 1.

Speaking of colonialism, today in History, 1607, the first successful settlement of English settlers was established at Jamestown in what is now known as the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

You don’t mean the “Jamestown Colony” right? Cause that one was a bust, if I recall correctly.

  • Mike G.

Jamestown[1] was a settlement in the Colony of Virginia, the first permanent English settlement in the Americas. Established by the Virginia Company of London as “James Fort” on May 4, 1607 (O.S., May 14, 1607 N.S.),[2] and considered permanent after brief abandonment in 1610, it followed several earlier failed attempts, including the Lost Colony of Roanoke. Jamestown served as the capital of the colony for 83 years, from 1616 until 1699.

One of my daughters lives in Williamsburg. We visited the historic site and museum last year.

Really quite interesting. You can even have a wedding in the same church Pocahontas and John Smith were married in.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Getting “owned” on twitter is like ten guys on a beach in Ft. Lauderdale thinking they can make enough noise to ruin the afternoon of someone sunbathing in Daytona.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

DItto on that. I’ve done the “Williamsburg” thing about three times over the last forty-five years. It was always an amazing and educational trip. It was our family’s version of Homeschooling. Every year for vacation we went someplace important in American History. Gettysburg, Richmond, Philadelphia, Harper’s Ferry, Williamsburg, Appomatox Courthouse, Arlington, all kinds of places like that.

I agree that mocking the left is the right strategy and its such a target rich environment! I just got banned from commenting on PJ Media after 10 years or so of commenting mostly on Belmont Club. I guess poor little Ricky Moran didn’t like me making a sodomy joke about the sainted NFL draftee Michael Sam.

  • Quartermaster

To be banned by Ricky Moran, GOPe shill par excellence, is an honor. I got banned by Calvinists over at Worldview Weekend for telling the truth about the origins of their theology. People generally have trouble abiding the truth.

  • Pablo

That works best if it isn’t impotent and you don’t appear to be masturbating while you’re doing it. #caring

  • Steve Skubinna

Glad my university career is three and a half decades in the past. Because my tolerance for stupidity has shrunk to nil in the intervening time, and my adult life spent in places, seeing and doing things that would put these Special Snowflakes into a fetal position has rendered me entirely intolerant of their self indulgent bullshit.

No, today were I faced with this kind of stupidity I’d have them pissing blood and shitting teeth.

  • Steve Skubinna

I think you mean, “Dude, that was, like, two years ago!”

And then we shout “Excellent” and do air guitar.

  • Steve Skubinna

    Watch your uvula, mister!
