The Gaza Jihad Is on Twitter

Posted on | July 21, 2014 | 20 Comments

Check the #Gaza or #Israel hashtags on Twitter and you’ll see that anti-Israel activists are flooding social media with their messages.

This is absolutely not an accident:

The Middle East Media Research (MEMRI) published Thursday a translation of a new Hamas internet campaign to provide guidelines for Gaza’s social media users. According to MEMRI, the Hamas Interior Ministry has instructed Gazans to use Facebook and Twitter to “play their part in strengthening the home front and properly convey information worldwide.” The guidelines in fact instruct social media users to mislead the public and propagate disinformation worldwide.
The interior ministry’s “Be Aware — Social Media Activist Awareness Campaign” centers around an instructional video and posters published on the ministry’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Gazans are taught, first and foremost, to refer to all terrorists as innocent civilians.
“Anyone killed or martyred is to be called a civilian from Gaza or Palestine, before we talk about his status in jihad or his military rank,” the guidelines state. “Don’t forget to always add ‘innocent civilian’ or ‘innocent citizen’ in your description of those killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza.” Mainstream media outlets would do well to remember this when quoting distorted reports from Gaza of civilian casualties.
The guidelines go on to tell Facebook and Twitter users how to spin Hamas terrorist activity aimed at harming Israeli civilians to appear legitimate.

The current Israeli campaign in Gaza is a response to Hamas firing missiles at Israeli civilians. Exactly how anyone could believe that Hamas terrorists are innocent civilians, I don’t know, but some people are credulous simpletons, and easily propagandized. Hamas is a terrorist organization dedicated to killing Jews, period. It is also the elected government of Gaza, which should tell you something about the general sentiment of “innocent civilians” in Gaza.

I have the whole global solution.

Let’s give the American Southwest to Mexico. Their population will flood into that region because it has infrastructure, thus completely emptying out Mexico (as it is today), which we will then give to the Israelis, which of course means that the Muzzies can have the whole Middle East. And, OF COURSE, this will bring about complete peace in the Middle East forever and ever, because Islam is THE religion of peace and it’s only the Jews that drive the wars.

Mexicans are convinced that “there is no opportunity” in Mexico. I’d like to see if the Israelis can find opportunity in thousands of miles of tropical coastline and oil.

    I’m betting they can.

“Hamas is a terrorist organization dedicated to killing Jews, And anyone who gets in their way, period.”

    FTFY.

They’re essentially bombing a huge concentration camp but OK, whatever

  • Matt_SE

Slight amendment: Move Israel to a strip of land 20 miles wide on our southern border. We will never need border security again.

While all the Hamas leadership is in Qatar and Damascus. It is a concentration camp of Hamas’ making and they then leave their people to face the hardship.

And if they complain, Hamas comes at night and murders them and their families. But I suppose you will blame the Israelis for that too.

It’s always da joooooooooos ain’t it?

  • Quartermaster

They ain’t budging from where they are now. That land was promised to Abraham and his descendants forever, and that promise is still in force. Israel will get hurt, badly, in the process, so badly, in fact, that they will repent and petition God for the return of the Messiah.
    Yes, the return.

  • RKae

Yes. But I’m promising them Mexico.

Not saying I’m God, but I do what I can with what I have.

  • ZZZZZZZZ

Ooooooo! A nicely worded dig at the Jews! Geddit? “Concentration camp”, see?

Whoa, you’re a real thigh slapper there, Red!

    zzzzzzzzzzz……..

Israel needs to use a giant can of RAID.

Apparently, Ms. Fahs’s vagina knickers are in a bunch. More elastic, stat!

  • RKae

The so-called “concentration camp” shot first.

I don’t remember any concentration camp prisoners ever firing missiles.

Treblinka, but one could reasonably suggest they were provoked.

They learned well from the masters of propaganda- the Nazis and the Communists. Both groups supported Arab groups for different reasons.

As in your Ronan Farrow post above, this is a coordinated pushback.
Hamas must’ve been surprised that they weren’t reflexively being given sympathetic coverage. So they decided to remind the DemProgs which side they should be rooting for.

  • Quartermaster

There were missiles at Treblinka? I would agree they were provoked a bit, however.

If you can’t beat em, tweet em. Anti-Semitism is a family affair for liberals, you know.
