Dork-Shaming Hunter Biden After Dismissal From Navy Reserve For Blow

by Smitty

Son of Uncle Choo-Choo does a fine job of covering the Administration with glory:

Vice President Joe Biden ’s son Hunter was discharged from the Navy Reserve this year after testing positive for cocaine, according to people familiar with the matter.
Hunter Biden, a lawyer by training who is now a managing partner at an investment company, had been commissioned as an ensign in the Navy Reserve, a part-time position. But after failing a drug test last year, his brief military career ended.

As a retired Reservist myself, allow me to guffaw. I mean, the only more phoned-in position going today is Amateur Golfer With Occasional Presidential Cameos. This is especially true with the Biden family tradition of plagiarism. He could be a Fareed Zakaria understudy par excellence.

Mr. Biden, 44 years old, decided to pursue military service relatively late, beginning the direct-commission process to become a public-affairs officer in the Navy Reserve in 2012. Because of his age—43 when he was to be commissioned—he needed a waiver to join the Navy. He received a second Navy waiver because of a drug-related incident when he was a young man, according to people familiar with the matter. Military officials say such drug waivers aren’t uncommon.

So this dork gets this commission handed to him–I was retired from the Reserves by the time I was 44 (just sayin’) and he can’t even bother to put down the nose candy and take the job seriously? Why was he even wasting everyone’s time, anyway? Did he want to get some cool duds to wear when trying to impress the girls?

Mr. Biden was commissioned as an ensign on May 7, 2013, and assigned to Navy Public Affairs Support Element East in Norfolk, Va., a reserve unit, according to the Navy. In June 2013, after reporting to his unit in Norfolk, he was given a drug test, which turned up positive for cocaine, according to people familiar with the situation. Mr. Biden was discharged in February, the Navy said.

I mean: dude. You couldn’t lay off the nose candy for 48 hours prior to your First. Drill. Weekend? That is precisely the sort of fine moral example needed. . .by a country that really wants to get its clock cleaned in its next military engagement. I have no experiential clue about cocaine, never having done anything heavier than get drunk (almost two decades ago) or burn a cuban while deployed to Afghanistan in 2011. But, seriously: what were you thinking?

Mr. Biden said in a statement that it was “the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge. I respect the Navy’s decision. With the love and support of my family, I’m moving forward.”

Forward to what, you schmuck? The Ukraine?

I believe that my assistance in consulting the company on matters of transparency, corporate governance and responsibility, international expansion and other priorities will contribute to the economy and benefit the people of Ukraine.

Also: blow.
And there’s this other gig, mentioned at the bottom of the WSJ piece:

Now, Mr. Biden is a managing partner at Rosemont Seneca Partners, an investment company. He also serves as chairman of World Food Program USA, which calls itself “a humanitarian agency fighting hunger in the world today,” and he is an adjunct assistant professor at Georgetown University.

Adjunct Assistant Professor‘, eh? In just what worldly wisdom would Wankerness wallow?

MSFS-586 The Art of Advocacy Inside & Outside of Government

According to Wikipedia, Hunter is married. So one can presume that, should he be showing up for more than collecting a paycheck, it’s not just to cruise for chicks. I’m sure he’ll swap a few anecdotes, maybe talk about the great blow you can get in various foreign lands. It’s all so 1%.

There really is only one way to “move forward” for this piece of work:

Hunter Biden 2016

All the academic chops of #OccupyResoluteDesk, but now with Military Experience. And blow!

    Apples and trees
His father charges the Secret Service rent of $2,200.00 a month (figure from 2011) for the protection detail that’s stationed on his property. Putting aside the Secret Service and Columbian hookers scandal for a moment … these guys are sworn to protect Uncle Choo-Choo to the point of potential loss of life and he shows his gratitude for this service by charging rent?? Give the boy a break. I mean, if your dad were Joe Biden you’d probably be doing enough blow to fuel the Central American economy, too.

You’d be amazed how many people fail their first work related drug test even when they know it’s coming or even when it’s coming.

As a retired reservist myself, Smitty, I can only say:

    Well done, sir. Well done.

At this point, what’s one more national embarrassment added to the pile? As for myself, I’m glad I never got any tats during my service, otherwise they’d be too hard to explain away.

When anyone asks me if I ever served I tell them I spent those years selling crack to school kids. It provokes a lot less condemnation and humiliation.

“Mr. Biden, 44 years old, decided to pursue military service relatively late… to become a public-affairs officer”

No offense to the fine men and women of the public affairs office, but hardly an ambition to ever hearing a shot fired in anger!

    Very 1%.

Hunter Biden trained as a lawyer, but never practiced. He landed a job at a finance company ca. 1997 and was fwer promoted to a titular vice presidency within a couple of years, then was hired by the Clinton Administration to draft ‘e-commerce’ policy, then set up a lobbying business. Betwixt and between, he and his uncle acquire a firm which parcels out client money to selected hedge funds. It’s doubtful he has the background to do that himself. He was paid $1.2 million to supervise people with the skill to select the funds. I’ve known some people employed as financial analysts. They are not paid $1.2 million.

In other words, he is a generically smart chap abnormally talented at leveraging connections. Very 1%.

    That should be:

Mr. Biden said in a statement that it was “the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge.

    I’ve a few thoughts :

    1. He didn’t serve in the USN but I bet he’s got portraits of himself in his dress whites to show to anyone who hasn’t heard the truth.

    2. The thing he deeply regrets is that his case proves just how little being the Vice President of the United States of America really means….” What do you mean I’m being kicked out? Daaaaddy?!!

    3. Anyone reading this want to bet that his discharge status didn’t get special treatment not afforded to any other poor jabrone who would’ve been caught for the same thing? I didn’t think so, we’re all realist’s here.

4.He was contemplating a future run for office during which he would have claimed to have served his country during the war on terror.

Why does the term ass-clown immediately come to mind?

From WSJ article on this matter…

“The vice president and his wife, Jill Biden, speak regularly about the pride they take in being a military family, often referring to son Beau Biden’s time in the Delaware Army National Guard….

Joe received five draft deferments during the Viet Nam War, his son Beau was in the Delaware National Guard as a lawyer and got to take a break from Hus deployment to Iraq to attend the Presidential Inauguration and son Hunter is kicked out of the Navy after seven months for cocaine use…… THIS is ” being a military family “?

There’s a different meaning of “Joint Chiefs” in the Biden military family.

it’s the Biden family version of “I don’t want to belong to any club that would have people like me as a member.”

    “Uncle Choo Choo”

    I LOL’ed. I hate to LOL.

I wasn’t aware the tradition of purchasing commissions still lived on. I was never exactly a hide-bound traditionalist, but, hey, good show!

I’m thinking Uncle Choo Choo was hoping the Navy could maybe straighten the kid out. Should’a sent him to the Marines twenty-five years earlier.
