Would you believe he’s a multi-millionaire?

Y’all know football season is almost here, right? The college football season kicks off Saturday, and the NFL season begins September 9. Even though I know many readers don’t care for football, it’s important for me as a way to distract myself from the endless craziness of politics. Following my favorite quarterback, Alabama alumnus Mac Jones, now with the San Francisco 49ers, has helped keep me sane amid all the swirling insanity of the past few years. Even though Mac is now the backup in San Francisco behind Brock Purdy, it’s still something to give me a rooting interest in the Niners. Mac looked great in his preseason debut last week, and all the fans in San Francisco are excited about rookie wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling. The big worries for 49ers fans involve the left guard position on the offensive line, and whether edge rusher Nick Bosa will be back 100% after his injury. Or, at least, those were the big worries, until the team owner made headlines:

San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York — whose family is worth an estimated $8.5 billion — was arrested on Sunday at 9:35 a.m. for trying to pay just $140 for sex in a Ohio trailer park, according to court documents obtained by the California Post.
York responded to an advertisement on Sunday from a known prostitution website in Columbiana County, Ohio and “arranged to have sexual activity with the female in exchange for $140.”
However, when York was on the way to a meeting [at] a trailer park in East Palestine, Ohio, he was taken into custody by an agent from the Mahoning Valley Human trafficking Task Force, who had orchestrated the sting operation. . . .

(Pause to note that, not only is he trying to score with a cheap trailer park hooker, he’s too dumb to realize it’s a police sting operation.)

The trailer park, Wheat Hill MHP, later claimed on Facebook that York was arrested there because that’s where he was pulled over, not that the police were using one of the homes as part of their sting operation.
York had “in his possession his cellular device which was used to arrange the criminal act,” according to the court documents.
The documents show York was booked into county jail on two separate charges — one count of engaging in prostitution and one count of possessing criminal tools.
On Monday, however, York cut a plea deal with prosecutors, according to Columbiana County Municipal Court records.
York, who was initially released on $5,000 bond, pled no contest to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct as well as no contest to one count of possessing criminal tools, the records show.

Kind of hard to focus on football when the owner’s getting busted in an Ohio trailer park trying to hookup with a whore for $140. And the whole thing makes no sense at all. You’re a big-shot NFL executive, worth more than $100 million personally, not to mention being heir to a share of your family’s multi-billion-dollar fortune, and you’re trolling for hookers in a trailer park? Like, you couldn’t have a sugar baby mistress on your payroll, put her up in a nice apartment, etc.? Instead you’re responding to ads for $140 whores in Columbiana County, Ohio? This is crazy.

Anyway, I’ve told my kids what I want for Christmas is an official Mac Jones jersey, which costs more than the team owner was willing to spend on a hooker. But I ain’t going near no Ohio trailer parks.
