Higher Education Bubble-Head Update: Sweet, Sweet Progressive Dark Age

As we know, the hallmark of the liberal ascendancy in the universities is the “celebration of diversity,” except when it comes to challenging secular humanism. The celebration ends where diversity of thought begins.

This blog is so diverse, and the threat to diversity so great, that we’ll cheerfully quote anyone telling it like it is. We can hang together with the Roman Catholics, or hang separately, if we permit the fascist takeover to run to completion.

This evangelical protestant of longstanding finds the writings of Pope Benedict XVI to be quite valuable. The jury is still out on the current occupant of that office, however. Unfortunately, theology and doctrine aside, too much of the Roman Catholic Church has fallen victim to the secular humanist, social justice malaise. This is especially true in many modern RC universities. There are still islands of rigorous thought, but they are becoming fewer each year.

The jury is bound to be really confused over this Pope. One day he’s traditional, next day he’s Liberation Theology, next day he’s a real inclusive kinda guy, next day he’s conservative.

I sure can’t figure him out. One of the great things about John Paul for us non-Catholics was that we at least had a pretty good idea of his general take on things.

[…] Here’s the thing, though: if you wear a whore’s uniform, you don’t get to be all shocked and offended that men treat you like a whore. You don’t get to decide unilaterally what kind of appearance signals sexual availability – that’s something that society “decides.” If mentally unbalanced women all make similar personal appearance choices, you don’t get to be upset if people think you’re mentally unbalanced if you make the same decisions. Hair, clothing, tattoos and piercings – all of it means something, but you don’t get to decide what it means to other people. (H/T The Other McCain) […]

Reading Malachi Martin’s publications will quickly put aside any defense of the Jesuits in the modern dress. They are dangerous to teh RCC and it would be better if the order were suppressed and anyone having anything to do with them excommunicated.

Alas, it’s most likely far too late for the RCC.
