New Word: “Grubado”

Instapundit was noting that ‘gruber‘ is now a verb. Surely, though, the pile of hooey that is ObamaCare has room for a little more coinage as the ooze flows about, engulfing Progressive dreams in fetid sludge.

Grubado: noun. A portmanteau of ‘Gruber’ and ‘bravado’, this is that special panache with which a sociopath politician suddenly disavows a formerly prominent advisor.

Two great examples of grubado are Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi.

Let this be a lesion to all of their other thralls: once you’re a liability, your principle-free Progressive masters will un-person you with great grubado.

We could also use a word like, say “Underbus.” Example: He was underbussed with extreme grubado. I laughed so hard I nearly pelosied myself. Seriously, I thought I was going to obama right in my pants.

Maybe we don’t need to get too specific on what those latter two actually mean.

Not enough attention is being paid to how the law was written specifically to game the CBO’s scoring rules. I read somewhere that Gruber has a proprietary ownership of a computer model designed for that purpose. Many of the laws defenders use the argument that most people knew the tax and savings arguments weren’t believed at the time. Exactly how this justifies the lies is unclear to me

What difference, at this point, does it make?

Or if you’d prefer, Dude, that was, like, two years ago!

“Now Democrats, including the ‘Liar in Chief ‘, are disavowing this man like a member of Ethan Hunt’s Mission Impossible team.”

Looking back at Pelosi and Obama talking about transparency back then. What a joke these people truly are.

Here’s what difference it could make come Jan. The congress has the authority to change the head of the CBO. Congress also has the authority to change how the CBO scores bills. They can eliminate the Keynesian non-sense from the models and instruct CBO to use dynamic scoring.

Furthermore the Republican congress can take the opportunity that Gingrich didn’t and change the budget rules, for instance substituting zero baseline budgeting for the current 7% baseline method. Among other things this would end the fantasy that increasing spending by less than 7% is a budget cut.

It’s bad enough when people do what they say they will. When politicians renege on their promises, it really makes me sad.

Do you require constant medication for that? It should piss you off.

Settled law, man. Elections have consequences. “I won.”

I dearly hope what you outline comes to pass. I so want Nemesis to swoop down and bite Obama for the sin of hubris. I hope the last two years are the most miserable of his life. I hope he holes up in the Oval Office, chain smoking and playing video games in his underwear, muttering to himself. I want him to go all Citizen Kane. He needs to cry himself to sleep at night, weeping that “they all hate me now because I suck!”

The only promise Obama has kept is the one about energy prices skyrocketing.

We could count the “fundamentally transform America,” but I consider that to have been a threat, not a promise.

I did, but I stopped taking it awhile back, because I thought that it would be better for me to confront reality as it is.

You might want to put some ointment on that lesion.

Also, I was just looking into some of the money-Grubering going on because they keep turning up more Gruber Graft.

I keep seeing in these recent articles around the web where reporters and bloggers claim the Groobster “wrote” the Bill. However, other folks are lauded/tarred with that same claim.

Liz Fowler was supposedly the architect who drafted the Bill. The Hill reported in 2013 that “over 30” people who worked on it had jumped over to K-Street to begin the time-honored tradition of getting paid to explain their twisted, lumpy mental excretions to an over-regulated public.

So I’d love to see someone come up with a complete list of who actually crafted the damn thing.

@Steve – hilarious. I stole your lines and passed them on. I love wordplay even when it’s skanky. 😉 Yours was funny as hell.
