Lesbian Athletes Denied Constitutional Right to Have Sex With Teammates

Posted on | December 16, 2014 | 35 Comments

Layana White and Haley Videckis are lesbians who played basketball for Pepperdine University. Somebody forgot to tell their coach that gay people have a monopoly on “civil rights” now. Whatever rights gays want, they get, and nobody else has any rights at all:

Two female college basketball players have sued Pepperdine — claiming the University is running them off the basketball team because they are involved in a lesbian relationship … TMZ Sports has learned.
The women behind the suit are Haley Videckis and Layana White — who each transferred to Pepperdine from other school because they believed they would have a better shot at the WNBA.
But according to the suit, several officials at Pepperdine — a Christian-based university in Malibu — began to suspect the players were in a lesbian relationship earlier this year … and started looking for an excuse to boot them off the team.
According to the suit, the women claim the basketball coach, Ryan Weisenberg, gave a speech on the topic of “lesbianism” in April … in which he said, “Lesbianism is not tolerated on this team. It is the reason why teams lose.”
Long story short, Layana claims she has eligibility issues with the NCAA and Pepperdine won’t help because of her sexual orientation. Haley claims she has recovered from a minor tailbone injury, but the school won’t clear her to play even though her doctor has signed off.
The women are suing for discrimination, harassment, retaliation and more — and are seeking unspecified damages.
A rep for Pepperdine issued a statement to TMZ Sports saying, “We take allegations of this kind very seriously. We conducted an immediate and thorough investigation and found no evidence to support these claims.”
“The University remains committed to a diverse and inclusive environment.”

Well, thanks, Pepperdine, for that courageous statement in favor of diversity and inclusion, but don’t you see that the diverse people you are including don’t want to be merely included? No, they want the whip in their hands, so they can boss you around, tell you what to do, and compel you to grovel at their feet — “Please don’t hit me again!” — while you tell them how incomparably special they are.

Homosexuals now have a right to being treated exactly how they want to be treated, and if anybody should ever so much as hint that they are less than ecstatic with enthusiasm for homosexuality, that’s a hate crime, a violation of their constitutional rights!

Didn’t you read the Supreme Court’s Windsor ruling? The gay rights movement was never about freedom. It was always about power.

Now that our Supreme Court and our political elite have given 2.3% of the population 100% of the power — you did read the Supreme Court’s Windsor decision, didn’t you? — their unlimited power is going to be used to destroy every person and every institution that ever dared to oppose the totalitarian ambitions of gay rights activists.

They’re here, they’re queer, and they want revenge.

Pepperdine University is affiliated with the United Church of Christ, and you might think that the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom of religion would protect a Christian institution from being compelled to tolerate homosexual behavior among its students.

“HATER! BIGOT! HOW DARE YOU!”

That’s the answer you’ll get from the Gay Rights Totalitarians, who now have the constitutional right to make you bake them a cake.

You have no rights, you hillbilly holy rollers. The Supreme Court has ruled that there is no God and that homosexuality is sacred — sodomy is a constitutional right! — and while lawyers for the gay rights movement are busy suing into bankruptcy every person or institution who in any way opposes gay people in their exercise of those rights, public schools are teaching your children to celebrate homosexuality with books and videos and games and prizes for the child who most joyously praises the wonders of glorious gayness.

Hat-tip to the Title IX Blog, the proprietor of which is Erin E. Buzuvis, director of the Center for Gender & Sexuality Studies and Professor of Law at Western Massachusetts University. Perhaps you could inquire with Professor Buzuvis and ask her under what conditions “discrimination” against homosexuals would be acceptable.

And I guarantee you that her answer will be none.

Because they’re totalitarians, and the rest of us have no rights at all.

    1. I follow college basketball, both men’s and women’s. Pepperdine is not a hotbed of WNBA recruitment. NCAA D1 Women’s Rankings here. Pepperdine is currently 5-5; not exactly Pat Summit’s Tennessee Volunteers.

    2. Eligibility issues means White transferred without solving the problem beforehand. She cannot play without jeopardizing the team’s season until those issues are resolved. From which school did they transfer?

    3. Neither are actually on the roster. Pepperdine Women’s Basketball site here.

This whole thing is a set-up.

FYI, Pepperdine is affiliated with the Churches of Christ, not the United Church of Christ. The former is a conservative evangelical denomination. The latter is the liberal home of, inter alia Jeremiah Wright.

Yeah, because the most important thing about college and college sports is who and how you like to screw.

Base passions, immediate gratification, validation of what was once considered immoral etc

Self control is so … bourgeoisie

Would you have a great empire? Rule over yourself.

But our reverence for greatness is dying out, and being succeeded by base envy of greatness.

A lot of female athletes are gay. I think most of the ADs and coaches involved in women’s athletics know this and are accepting. The problems arise when they have relationships with fellow teammates. That’s disruptive behavior and will damage a team.

Pepperdine has a reputation as a very conservative university, especially with respect to open homosexuality. Yet, these women chose(?) to transfer there because of WNBA draft potential?

Bullshit. This is a planned attack on Christian college. It’s being staged in California which is viewed as a favorable climate.

Not as compelling as your other pieces. Homosexuality is no more a de facto ideology than is heterosexuality. There are legitimate issues about people having to service people they object to, especially in a religious context, but that’s the point, they’re issues and have legitimacy, as does the other side in dealing with discrimination.

A neo-Nazi like supremacist cult is a completely different matter. Confuse the two and you weaken your argument. I’m not saying this isn’t a fight, but it’s not the arena to choose. It is not gay people who want to destroy institutions any more than white people comprise a KKK. No matter the origins of this ideology plaguing us it has plenty of allies now and it must be dealt with on the level of an ideology not an identity or we are no better than them.

I quit watching sports altogether because they’re all a bunch of crybaby sissies. Never did watch female sports, something very gross about it. These dykes are your classic example of individuals never accepted in life so decide they’ll join the gay movement. Get whiff of lawsuits and they’re off to steal other peoples $ to punish those that never accepted them socially, even though personally not involved. Grow up you adolescent perverts and learn to throw shaka. You’re big mouths and spiteful personalities will never make you homecoming queen.

Homosexuality is no more a de facto ideology than is heterosexuality.

Certainly, heterosexuality is not an “ideology.” because it is a biological imperative. If there’s no God, as we’re told, then there is only Darwin, and Natural Selection doesn’t work without males and females bumping uglies.

Homosexuality is abnormal in the statistical sense for a reason. For that reason, it must have an ideology to support it. That’s what this is about. It’s about a desire to silence and destroy any institution or person which/who attempts to speak the truth.

You’re falling for the old “it’s just like being left-handed” argument, which like the “born that way” argument is based on nothing but wishful thinking from its proponents.

Not entirely sure what to make of this.

IF, as the suit appears to allege, the girls were kicked off the team for simply being lesbians (as opposed to behaving in a way that disrupts the team), then I’d say that it was wrong: what has their sexual preference to do with how well they shoot hoops? That being said, it seems to me that we also ought to respect the right of the team / university to enroll such students / players as they choose. How far should we go in forcing people / organizations to accept things that are anathema to them?

IF, on the other hand, this is merely (as RS says) a set-up intended to provoke a lawsuit against a Christian school, then the judge needs to smack it down in a big hurry. I would also say that this sort of tactic needs to be universally repudiated, and especially by the LGBT community, unless they cherish being seen as whining, underhanded wannabe-tyrants.

Hope springs eternal. I like to think that, just as most women (I do not count the professional grievance mongers in the MSM as “most women”) agree with the need for due process in rape cases and abhor how rape has been turned into a political weapon, so most gay people don’t like bullying tactics but rather want to live their lives as quietly as everybody else.

I quit watching the NBA when it turned into the “East Coast/West Coast death rap thug league.” Also, I would much rather watch Bob Cousey or Pistol Pete play than the players of today. Pro basketball turned into a game I don’t recognize
or enjoy watching. The biggest problem with wymen basketball is that they try to play like men and that don’t work either.

Pepperdine University is most certainly not affiliated with United Church of Christ folks. They’re affiliated with the dis-united folks who have no national front office. It isn’t like these students did not read the student handbook they were required to agree to about leading biblically appropriate lives: http://seaver.pepperdine.edu/studentaffairs/content/handbook/handbook_2014.pdf

The school prohibits all sex outside marriage by its students regardless of orientation! The policy to wit: “In keeping with Pepperdine University’s Christian mission and its heritage in Churches of Christ, all members of the University community are encouraged to consider and respect the teachings of Jesus and historic, biblical Christianity. Pepperdine University affirms that sexual relationships are designed by God to be expressed solely within a marriage between husband and wife. This view of sexuality and marriage is rooted in the Genesis account of creation and is maintained consistently throughout Scripture. Sexual relations of any kind outside of marriage are inconsistent with the teaching of Scripture, as understood by Christian churches throughout history, including Churches of Christ. Therefore, as a matter of moral and faith witness, all members of the University are expected to avoid such conduct themselves and to respect this understanding of sexual relationships.” Check page 109 of the PDF file linked above.

    Yeah, this is a set-up.

Sadly, the picture at the top of the article includes Haley Videckis but the other in NOT Layana White, which does a real disservice to the girl who is in the photo, but is not one of the plaintiffs.
And Willie the Wave might be a lesbian, but he’s not suing the school.
