The ‘Rape Epidemic’ That Isn’t

Heather Mac Donald:

The most common statistic thrown out these days by President Obama, Vice President Biden, on down is that one in five women will be the victims of sexual assault during their college careers. Detroit is America’s most violent city. Its violent crime rate for all four violent felonies — that’s rape, murder, aggravated assault, and robbery — is 2%. Its rape rate is 0.05%. A 20% crime rate for any crime, much less one as serious as rape, is virtually unheard of… And yet despite a rape rate that is allegedly 400 times that of Detroit’s, sophisticated, highly educated baby boomer mothers are beating down the doors of campuses to try to get their daughters in. . . . If the rape epidemic was going on as claimed . . . there would be no more campuses. You would have had a massive exodus of girls from college campuses years ago, and a demand to create actually safe environments for student learning. Why hasn’t that happened? Because the campus rape epidemic does not exist.

Read the whole thing at Minding the Campus, and then do this: Go to Google News and search for “teacher + arrest + sex.” How many times a week are public school teachers in America charged with illegally having sex with their underage students? My guess is that it happens more commonly than college students getting raped. So why aren’t feminists marching into your local Board of Education meeting and demanding that something be done about the “rape epidemic” in public schools?

Think about that.

Did you read Hassan’s book? I use that material to educate people about religious cults, but of course, the same model works for any cult. And there’s a surprisingly large number of them out there, sad to say.

So why do so many have large families then?

Of course! I might even attempt to teach the ruffian some courtesy. 😉

This is totally and completely off topic, but funny in the sense of the difference between men and women.

The power was out in my neighborhood for a few days, and I had to take some laundry to a laundromat. I had some things like fitted sheets that I folded nice and flat, and hoodies that I folded into the hood into a neat package; stuff like that.

Well, you know how, if you discovered a lost tribe that hadn’t seen technology, and you showed them a lighter, they would be agog at this “magic”?

This dude at the laundry looked at me like that. Exactly. He saw the fitted sheet folded perfectly flat, and he said, “H…how…how did you DO that?” His eyes were like saucers. When he watched me fold the hoodies, I thought he was literally going to swallow his tongue. I noticed he had a lot of tee shirts, and I said, “Do you have trouble finding the one you’re looking for in the drawer?” When he shook his head, I showed him how to fold them in half, then again the long way, and told him to put them on edge in his drawer and he’ll be able to find the right one immediately. He looked at me like I was some kind of goddess. I think he wanted to propose right then and there.

I know the feeling. I feel like that when I watch some dude who knows right where to put the jack when he’s changing a tire. Or when he’s fixing something electrical and knows which wire color means what.

“There is no evidence to suggest an explosion in sexual violence at universities” Oh don’t worry they’re working on it they’ve done everything but rape people themselves to get more reports. Maybe that will be the next tactic by SJW’s. The biggest problem for them is that most people insist on actually being raped before they will report it.

Annual spawning. It’s the only explanation.

The teacher+arrest+sex scandals are not being exploited by the extreme feminists because a significant proportion of the “rapists” are female teachers.
