Does The ‘NBC Editor’ Really Exist?

Daily- and Instapudit are on about Breitbart’s post concerning the fired NBC editor. Back at Breitbart:

The questions are only just beginning on Editgate. The release of the news of the firing just before the holiday weekend smacks of a cover-up; more than that, we know that the edit itself was not restricted to the Today show. Brian Williams and the brass at NBC News must provide answers. They are responsible for editorial output, not an unnamed producer. And they must be held responsible for an irresponsible and dangerous edit apparently deliberately designed to twist the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman story along racial lines.

NBC really loves them some voodoo editing.

Given their utter lack of forthrightness, both in pushing the initial lie about what Zimmerman said, and now the firing of this un-named editor, we really should ask: does this NBC jackwagon exist, or is NBC just stacking subterfuge upon misdirection?

And, even if this alleged jackwagon is produced, is he going to be fired fired, or just given the Full Imus? By that I mean, sent on what amounts to an extended vacation, and then brought back. In other words, how will the fundamental corruption of NBC be addressed?

The good news is that NBC’s perfidy has been exposed short of further tragedy. The bad news is that NBC is bad news.

Only morons believe what the dinosaur broadcast media says. Unfortunately, those morons are Obama voters.

There’s no more reason to believe NBC is telling the truth in this  than in anything else.

That the alleged producer might not actually exist should have occurred immediately I embarrassed it didn’t.

There was some speculation on who got canned.  I assume a bright young reporter could figure it out.  Has anyone asked Tabitha Hale?

I think he does exist, and his name might just rhyme with Flat Flower.

I would encourage Zimmerman to sue the network for damages. Then, they’d have to cough up someone’s name to throw under the bus.

The “unnamed NBC editor” exists in the same universe as Dan Rather’s proportional  font capable IBM Selectric.

If NBC fired the editor for doing this it would be a travesty of monumental proportions. The editors are NOT the people that make decisions  of what gets put in or left out of a piece. The producer makes those decisions in the edit room. The editor is just the mechanic who makes it happen. I will find out tomorrow who really got fired if anyone.

Oh I should point out that I work for NBC (embarrassingly so) and I work in the Edit facility at 30 Rock. I will follow up on this in short order tomorrow.

Whatever you hear, don’t exactly quote anyone.  Management might be putting out various stories to out a snitch.

I can understand that if NBC announced the name of the person fired, s/he could be in danger of retribution by those evil, angry conservatives and hate-filled Republicans, er something ! But really, this looks far more like an act purely for the optics, little if anything more !

This is the same thing Ubama did when he claimed to have sent the special forces to kill Usama. They buried the body at sea my ass. NBC fired somebody my ass.
