Reviewing the current Delivery:
Part I:
Bise and Driscoll explore the contrast between the “Great Awakening’s” seeming lack of evangelical character, vs. the fact that Progressivism has perhaps violated the Establishment Clause en passant with its Political Corectness dogma, and death merchanting (abortion).
Bise likens the famous “bitter people clinging to their guns and religion” line from BHO to a spitball from the back of the class that cruised through the other students and had them suddenly turn about with new eyes.
Driscoll thought the healthcare emphasis was hasty, and the economy should have been the priority. I think the administration:

  • has no clue of the audience, and thought it clay,
  • felt like the clay should be hit on as many fronts as possible to ram the agenda through.

Bise discusses Paul Ryan’s attempt to rationalize the budget deficit, which has a 100% GDP as debt in 2040, before life improves. Bise then thinks that the Tea Party’s pelican beak may overload its hummingbird ass with the size of the problem besetting the 112th Congress after November’s election.

Bise: once this Awakening reaches levers of power, it is going to be shocked by the magnitude of the problem. Bise and Driscoll float the idea that The PorkBusters were the proto-Tea Party.

Part II:
Bise offers an extended analysis of how his analysis was off for the Super Bowl. He omits that he had not counted on Barbara Espinoza‘s support for the Saints.
Then he does the Caps/Penguins game, and finishes off with a quick SuperBowl ads recap.

…inspiration…

Back to Ryan’s budget, the elected officials seem to be a bunch of scared priests of some pagan god, who know that the idol has failed, but fear the wrath of the mob. That is why I submit that the Tea Party movement has to get right out there with the firm respectful Mr. Hand, while not letting Mr. Fist escape the memory of the Weenies That Be.

Yes, it’s going to be a train wreck when the full scope of the disaster is unfolded, and the McCains and other artifacts who have provided us these decades of theater are going to become self-righteous about it. Let’s paraphrase Colonel Jessup:

Son, we live in a world that has entitlements, and those entitlements have to be guarded by bureaucrats with funding. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Mr. Tea Party? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for the 10th Amendment, and you curse Progressivism. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That the 10th Amendment’s death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And the entitlement’s existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.
You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want Progress on that entitlement, you need Progress on that entitlement. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent building bureuacracy. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very stability that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick a Media Matters propaganda outlet, and start repeating fictions until they settle into the squish fact of the public mind. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think your Constitution says.

great post, though you should be careful in turning Col. Jessup into a socialist, he would not be amused. Fortunately for you, he’s probably still serving his sentence.

I can handle the truth…do we still need to be hearing Nicholson/Cruise at all? Especially this? C’mon man, do something new. I will send some more money to the tip jar, get a couple new DVDs or something.
