I Would Not Accuse Sen. Coburn Of Kool-Aid Quaffing

by Smitty

Bluegrass Pundit wants to know if Senator Coburn is drinking the Kool-Aid, just because he’s attempting to neutralize some of the bile aimed at the Speaker of the House.

Pay attention, people: it is never wrong to be gracious to the foe:

If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.
Pro 25:21,22

Furthermore, as a doctor, Senator Coburn knows that there is a vas deferens between being gracious towards the foe personally, and agreeing with the economically infeasible, un-Constitutional insults to the American people they are peddling.

Everyone looks at him suspiciously, wondering if he has “Beltway Blindness.”

Liberals lick their chops, thinking they’ve got another GOP boy ready to “play.”

New page, new rules. Foolish of Coburn to think and soundbite otherwise.

Liberals and tyrants view politeness as weakness.

while it may be “never wrong to be gracious to the foe,” note that he is speaking the language of the left: “biased by Fox news,” (note too that properly one is not biased by Fox News but persuaded by Fox News).

I get it, hate the deed, not the person. I’m sure Pelosi has at least some redeeming values, even if I can’t think of one right now.

“Liberals and tyrants view politeness as weakness.”

they indeed do but that does not make their opponents weak.

It is more likely to cause more unguarded moments from Pelosi and her team.

The Wicked Witch of the West sacrifices christian children and then boils them in the cauldron she worships at. While I have no concrete evidence to support that assertion I have no reason not to believe it. Given the moral relativism required to be a leftist the only limit to the Social Democrats heinious perfidy is do they see any advantage to any given action. This insane insistence on the desirability of civility is being espoused by at least some of FNC’s anchors so Mr Coburns excoriation of Fox not entirely fair or accurate. Getting back to the problem at hand I for one do not want civility in the press or TV and internet media and I damn sure don’t want it in the halls or on the floors of Congress. Rhetorically speaking I want them fighting with knives in congress. Only those willing to do so can represent my views. We are not playing a game where there are winners and losers we are at war with the forces of darkness, no losers only vanquished. This civility NONSENSE must stop if the right can not or will not recognize the nature of the war we fight today WE ARE DOOMED.

No. A “nice lady” does not march through the D.C. Tea Party protest, rather than using the underground tunnels as usual, with the whole Lewis/Clyburn/Carson/Cleaver Congressional Black Caucus entourage, staffers’ cameras in hand, specifically to elicit racial comments from those knuckle-dragging troglodyte racist teabaggers…and then, when the expected epithets are NOT forthcoming, rush to the cameras anyway to claim that they happened anyway.

Pelosi planned the whole episode, and was sorely disappointed that it didn’t turn out the way she wanted — with the fanning of racial flames.

No, that woman is NOT a nice lady, and lying by saying otherwise it doesn’t make it true, nor does it make Tom Coburn “gracious”. It makes him a lying kool-aid drinker, and part of the D.C. problem.

I’m !@#^#$@ TIRED of “my good friend from the great state of…” and “the honorable such-and-so” BS. These “good friends” wouldn’t douse Tom Coburn if he was on fire; as Pete Stark (D-CA) put it, it would be a waste of good urine.

They. Do. Not. Like. You. They. Will. NEVER. Like. You. Stop trying to curry their favor, and start fighting them with EVERY public statement you make. They fight you that way; you can’t win with both hands tied behind your back and duct tape over your mouth.

It’s funny how it’s always the left crying about “civility in politics” right after accusing everyone on the other side of racism and other unforgivables.
