Could This Possibly Be True?

Posted on | May 1, 2010 | 25 Comments

National Enquirer claims proof that Barack Obama’s carrying on Bill Clinton’s presidential legacy:

PRESIDENT OBAMA in a shocking cheating scandal after being caught in a Washington, DC Hotel with a former campaign aide.
A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-old VERA BAKER in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions . . .

On Twitter, Dave Weigel says: “If you believe this National Enquirer Obama story, I’ve got a Kenyan birth certificate to sell you.” Of course, as someone else once said, you can’t believe that kind of “tabloid trash.”

I assume you’re up on the buzz at HillBuzz:

“The only thing we can think of is that David Axelrod is trying to put the image of a virile, womanizing Obama out there ahead of a himbo eruption — or possibly some kind of retribution from Kal Penn, more upset about Obama breaking things off with him and booting him from the White House than anyone thought he would be.”

I think hillbuzz may be on to something. There has been some suggestion that Obama has been on the down low for some time. I think it would be wonderful if Obama came out, did a a NJ McGreevey
“I am a gay man” and resigned from his office. That would be hoping for too much, however, I’m afraid.

I really hope this doesn’t catch on. Reminds me of chumming for sharks in Jaws. The press are the sharks and without the chumming they might stumble on to something relevant. Never mind, they wouldn’t print it.

They should have awarded the NE a Pulitzer for the Edwards story. Maybe this time.

If men don’t cheat, it’s either from a lack of desire or a lack of opportunity. If he lacks the desire to do so, it could either be from fear of getting caught or from a desire to remain faithful to one’s marriage vows and spouse.

So, to answer the rhetorical question: With plenty of opportunity, little chance of getting caught (given that Obama thinks that the media adores him and has bought into his Messiah thing), and, apparently, no religious compunctions about infidelity, most likely, yes.

HillBuzz has been reporting on Obama’s trysts with men at Man’s Country for quite awhile. As Sissy points out, HillBuzz notes that the White House is probably trying to confuse people by enlivening the old rumor that Obama ever had an affair with a woman because one of his male exes may be about to go public — and, please God, has cell phone videos and a semen-stained dress to go support his story.

I made my own prediction about the gay scandal that would end Obama’s presidency on July 7, 2009: http://tinyurl.com/289klaq.

Not affairs will end his regime, but either impeachment over corruption or other crimes, or elections…

While I would just be tickled pink if Cynthia’s predictions were true, Mind-Numbed Robot has a valuable observation about the whole stupid story.

The NE has a considerably better track record on these matters than any daily newspapers.

I remember reading in early 2008 that at least one paper had the goods on one of the “frontrunners”.

The fact that it sat on the story, like NBC did by holding the Juanita Broderick rape allegation against Clinton until after the Senate impeachment vote, until after the election demonstrates its complicity in covering up Edwards’ sexual misconduct.

    This will be interesting.
