Dem Nominee Faces Porn Charge

This is a classic:

South Carolina’s surprise Democratic nominee to challenge U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint is facing a pending felony charge.
Court records show 32-year-old Alvin Greene was arrested in November and charged with showing obscene Internet photos to a University of South Carolina student. The felony charge carries up to five years in prison. . . .
On Tuesday, Greene stunned state Democratic Party leaders by winning the nomination. He raised no money and put up no campaign website. He beat former four-term state lawmaker Vic Rawl, 64, who had raised about $186,000 . . .

    Saw some speculation that Greene benefited from the alphabetic listing of the candidates on the ballot, i.e. Greene before Rawl. I also noticed that Greene is African American, and Rawl white. I suspect voters in the SC democrat primary are heavily African American.

    I hate to admit it, but I had no idea Greene was black when i said the Democrats only ran one minority for major office. In my defense, Greene has no website and raised no money.

    So…who voted for him?

    They prosecute adults in SC for *felonies* for showing nekkid pictures to other adults? Seriously? Wow, it’s a good thing the law enforcement authorities down there don’t have anything else to investigate, like, I don’t know, maybe massive political corruption?

    It is against the law in SC to show obscene images to someone without their consent. The jerk went into a college computer lab (he was not a student or teacher, so what the heck is doing on campus?), sat down next to the only other person using the computers, a freshman girl. As she put it, he said “hi” and she said “hi” to be friendly and went back to her work. He was on the computer next to her, and in a couple of minutes asked her if she liked football. She nodded and he said, “Look at this” and turned his monitor to her.

    It was porn, he began commenting as he scrolled down, then said, “Let’s go back to your room now.” She ran out and called security.

    So, “Priorities Out Of Whack?” ~ If you are cool with that, post your daughter’s contact info – have we got a guy for her!

    Greene also has never explained his sudden discharge from the Army after 13 years in, except to say “Things kinda weren’t working out” and “no comment.”

    Sure he is a lowlife, but he’s a Democrat so it shouldn’t be so remarkable.
