ELO Laid Low

ELO is the source of my favorite St00p3d Qustion: “In the name, is ‘Light’ an adjective or a noun? Is it ‘Electric Light’ Orchestra, or Electric ‘Light Orchestra’.”
Piece of Work in Progress reports the sad demise of a former band cellist.
My favorite ELO cut, though I guess the deceased didn’t play on it, is Last Train to London. I remember enjoying the music and being completely unable to parse “Lasrainoo-onon” in my youth. Wasn’t life so much simpler then?

Heaven rest Mike Edwards, or whatever is appropriate to mark the passage of a Buddhist.

Living in a fairly seriously rural area, I’ve always been a bit paranoid about driving by operating Agricultural machinery. And with reason.

Apart from anything else, there are at least one or two instances a year where motorists are killed by objects that are thrown by roadside mowers.

You always keep your eyes open, and be ready to duck below the dashboard….or at least I do.

Anything can happen, but I prefer to avoid the known hazards, or at least minimize them.

Use your peripheral vision, people, and be careful out there!!!!!

My prayers for him and loved ones.

What a horrible freak accident. Apparently a huge bale of hay (700#) sitting on a slope of a hill beside the road somehow came loose, rolled down the hill and jumped over a 12-foot hedge, landing on Edwards’ van from above, crushing it.

Kind of gives “hitting the hay” a whole new meaning, doesn’t it?
