If Meghan McCain Has Lost the Gays . . .

Posted on | September 9, 2010 | 22 Comments

. . . then the only people who still have to pretend to like her are liberals:

That’s a Tweet from Christopher Barron, chairman of the gay conservative organization GOProud, which is sponsoring the upcoming “Homocon” event with Ann Coulter in New York City. (John Hawkins has an interview with Barron at Right Wing News.) Here’s video of Cuz on the Rachel Maddow show:

Now, let me say this about MeggieMac’s outspoken pro-gay stance: It’s a bit too much.

Megan strikes me as a certain type: Fag hag — a term denoting a woman who likes to hang around gay men, often to the point of making a nuisance of herself. Generalizing rather broadly, fag hags tend to be women who suffer from self-esteem issues, have few close female friends, and have difficulty forming successful longterm relationships with heterosexual men.

A fag hag hangs around with gay guys because it gives her a vicarious frisson, as well as “safe” male relationships with a built-in excuse for why these guys don’t find her sexually attractive. Whereas, by comparison, hanging out with straight guys presents problems for such a woman: Either they hit on her (and make her vulnerable to the pain of future abandonment), or they don’t hit on her, in which case she feels rejected. And if she hangs out with women, she feels deeply shamed that her friens have husbands or boyfriends and she doesn’t.

That’s the unmistakable vibe whenever MeggieMac goes on TV to proclaim her pro-gay bona fides.

Like her infamous boob shot, Meghan’s extravagant look-at-me-I-love-gay-people gestures reek of insecurity to the point of desperation.

Kudos to Chris Barron for calling her out.

I like Meghan, and not just because I’m still getting hits off that booby pic.

Can’t imagine she’d give the Republican Party a second thought if her dad wasn’t who he is, but I do like her.

Meghan McCain cried when her dad picked Sarah Palin as running mate. Did she want her RINO dad to lose by an even bigger margin. Loser father, loser daughter. Can we make a case for the genetic nature of loser RINO-ness? If we oppose them, are we loser RINO-phobes?

I had to stop at Meghan saying, “I had to become the leader I never had.” Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!!! Note to M-Mac: Grow up first. Otherwise you’ll still be following your stupid, insipid “idealistic” contradictory thoughts when you’re in your 80’s.

Regarding “fag hags”: Since I was a semi-one in college, I can say it has grown and changed over the past twenty years. Now having a gay best bud is considered a cool accessory and if you don’t have one, well them… you must be homophobic! It’s a given that if you’re a liberal woman, you must at least have a gay hairdresser. Although women befriend gay men because of the “safety” factor (“he won’t be coming onto me..”), the real reason is style. A gay man will coach a woman in what will look good on her and boldly chide her for what makes her look like a week-old doughnut.

Meghan is someone who got a taste of the limelight during the campaign and desperately wants to continue receiving the attention. Funny how she calls out Sarah Palin for going back to the crowd to wave and accuses her of grandstanding. (“It was as if she wanted to make the night about her and not my dad.”) And I guess writing a book and pimping it on all the MSM channels isn’t?

She’s going to run for something. Community organizer, dog-pound catcher… God help us. I’m more apprehensive about her than Chelsea.

If Meghan McCain Has Lost the Gays . . .

. . . then the only people who still have to pretend to like her are liberals:

And liberals don’t happen to be gay…

Chris Barron happens to be the true representative of the Gay community…

Stacy, you are a bigger dipshit than i imagined. From your sycophancy of Rush to silly twitpicking of Obama speech, i think this particular kind of post is the sole reason why many people tend to be repulsed by your character even though this not typical of your otherwise talented writings. I can’t help but imagne the heights you could have reached without your partisan blinders on. What a waste of talent.

PS. Oh, wait is this post a pathetic attempt at growing your young fag stag antlers? See the headlights Stacy? That’s Chris Barron… driving his brand gay car. Take it easy.

RSM, its an interesting post, and you go out on a limb as usual to try and define the term, ‘fag-hag’ that has all kinds of sensitivity and PC taboo surrounding its use. Thanks putting out a pretty good definition. Although the myraid types of co-dependent, symbiotic or even healthy human relationships are not easily generalized it is fascinating to examine the why and how of these relationships.

I’ve wondered why Meghan “Smoosh My Boobies” McCain had all these issues. I think you’ve explained a great deal of it, Stacy. Thank you.

The Meghan McCains of the world were great at about fifteen minutes to closing (if by great you mean looking for casual hook up sex). You didn’t have to buy them a drink, they were already buzzed, and home you went.

I have to take issue with the term ‘Fag Hag’.

    It’s rude.

The more correct term for someone like Meggie Mac is ‘Fruit Fly’.

I know she deserves it, but I feel bad for her because she has nothing going on in her life.

She’s a great example of how RINO values leaves to a completely empty lifestyle, when you have enough vague ideas about morals and the economy to be Republican, but you see Liberals having all the fun. But that’s okay, because you’re not really cool enough to have fun with them anyway, right?

I know several girls like her. It’s really sad.

Stacey, Fag Hag is such an ugly term (Dave C- so is fruit fly). The Boyz at Hillbuz suggest the term “Fairy Princess”. I don’t think they have many quibbles about the definition (except to add that the princesses are too confused to understand why they have no real boyfreinds after spending all of their time with the gay guys), just the tone of the label.

[…] The campaign, the choice of Sarah Palin as running mate – to Meggie Mac it’s all about her. She thinks she’s lost conservative support (don’t know when she ever had it) because of her support for gays.  Heck, she’s such a bumbling idiot, she’s even lost the gays. […]
