Hey, Has Anybody Else Noticed That Meghan McCain Is Intensely Stupid?

“It is impossible to read Dirty, Sexy Politics and come away with the impression that you have read anything other than the completely unedited ramblings of an idiot. . . . That a graduate of Columbia University, as Ms. McCain purports to be, produced writing this shoddy is bad; that a publishing company let this authorial abortion go to print is an insult to the collective self-worth of our thinking nation. . . . One would think hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on Ms. McCain’s education . . . would have somehow resulted in a basic understanding of the colon and semicolon, but alas — no such luck.”
— Leon Wolfe, “Meghan McCain’s Dirty, Sexy Politics“
UPDATE: I think “obligatory” is the proper word for this:
“So there we are in 2010 — young, pretty blonde women with huge cans are victimized by not being given enough attention on television. . . . If I’m going to hear a lot of stupid blather (and that’s going to happen most nights you’re watching cable news), I’d rather have some bazongas to look at while I gnaw the meat off my own fingers.”

If the McCain parents ever write Meghan out of their will, she’d better marry some sugar daddy, ‘cuz she’s unemployable.

Why don’t you read the book (or claim that you read it) and write your own review (however brief it is) to trash Meghan McCain instead of you quoting somebody? Her politics and ideas are not worth it! So lets just comment on her physical attributes (boobs et al) and writing style! Huh, ok.

“… ‘cuz she’s unemployable.”
Yeah, kinda like Bristol Palin and her quitter mother Sarah Palin, right.

@waylaw,
Check out the Rachel Maddows interview, like yeah. Sometimes you don’t need to read the book when the author is obivious vapid…(see James Frey author of “One Million Little Pieces).

@waylay: Bristol does have a job (though I assume she’s taken leave while she’s on DWTS). And while her mother does not presently have a 9-to-5 job, I hear she does all right for herself freelancing at the moment.

I’ve never claimed to admire her for her mind.
And at some point, after you’ve read enough of her columns, you don’t need to read the full-length book to realize that she got the contract for it because (a) she’s John and Cindy’s daughter (b) she’s therefore somewhat photogenic and (c) she’s a moderate-to-liberal Republican, not so much because she’s a glowing reference for the educational prowess of Columbia University.

waylay, I do not think unemployable means what you think it means.
Bristol worked as an office manager at a dermatologist.
Sarah was a 2-term town councilor, a 2-term mayor, an oil and gas commissioner, a governor, a small business owner …
They’re both now professional speakers who advocate on behalf of several worthwhile causes.
THIS is what you call unemployable?
Is that you, Meghan? I had to ask because you share the same smarts …

Sometimes you don’t need to read someone’s ghostwritten book or facebook notes to know someone is an airhead. Check out Sarah Palin’s Couric and Gibson interviews. And her current twitter feeds.
@snowed in
Maybe i should have compared Meghan McCain’s profession (blogger, columnist, author) to that of Stacy McCain’s instead…

“…she got the contract for it because (a) she’s John and Cindy’s daughter…”
She is not writing a pop book on her boobs or bfs, it is her memoir of her father’s 2008 campaign, moron.
Your criticism about a parent’s role fits perfectly to Bristol Palin getting her speaking gigs and reality show gigs though.

If you want to take a mulligan, go ahead.

Hmmm…it seems Stacy McCain is employable as well!

Fortunately, November 2nd will arrive and perhaps we can finally be done with every one of these blathering scumbags and their far left ilk.
They won’t have much to say come November 3rd.

That’s the point, just because someone is not employed–or is self-employed–currently, doesn’t mean they are not “employable”. I reckon Meghan is more “productive” than your average christian conservative republican woman, many of them who are busy in breeding and child raising business in their 20s. You have exceptions though, like TOM reader Roxeanne de Luca who seems to be career oriented and still in search of a mate to settle with. But she does have a <a href="“>sad life(see comment #6).

Snowed In: Some people fret and worry over their Wiki entries, constantly wrangling over the editing thereof. I don’t have time for that crap, and prefer to ignore it.

She’s a tool of the left, the RINO’d et al, not a very skilfull one but everything is a nail.
She doesn’t give Columbia grads a particularly
good name, but she’s not quite as self indulgent
as Amy or Patti, but give her time

“Check out Sarah Palin’s Couric and Gibson interviews.”
You found Palin’s Couric interview? I was under the impression that CBS has never released the complete, unedited interview, only clips of the ‘gotcha’ moments that may or may not be in context. Where do I find the complete interview so I can check it out?

Sometimes you don’t need to watch the whole interview when the person is an obvious blithering idiot. Right, Rob? You don’t have to be a fellow of Andrew Breitbart School of Journalism to figure this out.

If waylaw had $10,000,000 to manage, I bet she’ll promptly go out and buy the next Enron without even bothering to check the facts.
