Florida 20: Send Debbie Wasserman-Shultz To The Beach

The sanest wonk in Congress, Paul Ryan, attempts to speak sense. DWS replies with “fear Wall Street”.
If anything, Ryan’s plan is too centrist, in my opinion. My opinion is probably not too politically tenable, either.

This blog would like to commend Paul Ryan for extraordinary tact when faced with an utter knob.

“If anything, Ryan’s plan is too centrist, in my opinion.”

I’m glad to hear that. I was starting to thing I was all alone out here on the fringe. 🙂 I kept hearing about how radical and untenable his Roadmap was, but when I sat down to read it, I found that it did not go nearly far enough for my taste. He accepts a few premises about things that the government should be involved in with which I strongly disagree. Hoever, I will gladly take his plan over the status quo any day of the week. While it does not go far enough toward liberty, it takes many steps in the right direction.

Whenever the subject of privatizing SS comes up the Social Democrats insist that the Republicans want to risk our retirement in the “dangerous stock market”. Why doesn’t the Republican point out that those retirement savings could go in a bank account or even treasury bonds?

“The sanest wonk in Congress.” As opposed to,
‘The most insane wank in Congress.’ I vote Alan Grayson for that one.

Paul Ryan is my congresscritter. He’s openly admitted his Roadmap is only a starting point for a conversation.

But it’s clear that Congress is really Romper Room at a much higher level. The Barney Frank Day Care Center.
