Stacy McCain Moderating A Debate? Could Our Democracy Withstand Such?

A certain bog dweller certainly seems to think so. He has a few other interesting picks, as well. Conspicuously absent from Trog’s list is Da Tech Guy, whose debate question would involve some sort of dessert pastry.

Stacy would be a hell of a lot better than the prog tools who’ve been moderating GOP debates thus far!

I didn’t make the list either.

“Gov. Romneycare, why are you pretending your last name only has two syllables?”

I thought about Da Tech Guy, but I couldn’t come up with a question that would make people think “yep, he’d ask that.”

DTG: [Non-Catholic Candidate X] you’re a very smart person, why aren’t you Catholic?

I’m sure Stacy could handle moderating a debate.  Not sure the other candidates could though: “BREAKING: Herman Cain gets 87 minutes’ airtime at 90 minute debate…”

I am Catholic, just not Roman Catholic.

Well, ya got my sticky booger question right on the money.

Don’t “moderate” the debate. Force it to the extreme!

The road took it’s toll on ya, huh?

Sure, we could come up with better moderators, but a real debate should have NO moderator and NO panel, just a timekeeper.  Let the two or three candidates each use their time as they see fit.  Short or long speeches, ask their own questions, give answers, explain policies, attack the others, whatever they want.

It would be a lot more informative than the stupid dog and pony shows we have now.  I don’t even bother to watch, just check the transcript the next day if anything sounded interesting.  So far it hasn’t.

With the subtitle “Moderator McCain at the end of the debate declares Harman Cain the hands-down winner”

That would be a ratings bonanza, but there’s a reason such a debate is not likely to ever happen. The candidates campaign staffs would never allow it.

Anyone would be better than Gwen Awful er, Ifill from NPR who besides being Black and Liberal and an Obama supporter (surprise there huh?) was also writing a book about Obama yet wouldn’t recuse herself due to a conflict of interest. (liberals: “we don’t need no steenking morals!”)

Any books in the making Stacy? If not then fire away.

Oops, that would be “ethics” and not “morals”  but with Liberals, it doesn’t really matter, they don’t have either one.

If you’re going to use an expression like “Hear! Hear!”, at least know how to spell it.
