Press release from KMJ-AM in Fresno, California:
Tonight, in an interview on KMJ’s “The Chris Daniel Show,” Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz confirmed that the US government wanted Gibson guitars to use foreign labor over American labor:
CHRIS DANIEL: Mr. Juszkiewicz, did an agent of the US government suggest to you that your problems would go away if you used Madagascar labor instead of American labor?
HENRY JUSZKIEWICZ: They actually wrote that in a [inaudible].
CHRIS DANIEL: Excuse me?
HENRY JUSKIEWICZ: They actually wrote that in a pleading.
CHRIS DANIEL: That your problems would go away if you used Madagascar labor instead of our labor?
HENRY JUSKIEWICZ: Yes

Makes no sense. Barry “The Union Guy” Oblunder wanting to send jobs overseas. If it had been to Indonesia or Kenya, maybe. Unless … he thinks Madagascar menas Disney. He will need “help” paying for his vacations when his reign is over.

But when Obama gives his jobs speech next week, will any journo ask him why his government is trying to force American companies to send jobs overseas?

I covered this here and evidently what it amounts to is, Gibson is not a labor shop. Yet Martin guitars, which uses the exact same kind of wood parts for their guitars as Gibson, and from the same regions (India, Madagascar, etc), got a pass. Martin of course is unionized. The company, or at least one or more of its top executives, are also Obama supporters. And contributors. It’s probably no coincidence that Martin has never been harassed, while Gibson claims this will probably cost them in the neighborhood of two to three million dollars. Welcome to the world of US Government regulations, Chicago style.
Oh, by the way, the fearless, tireless agency that conducted the raid on Gibson? Wait for it-The Fish And Wildlife Service.

Can we survive another year and a half with this administration? I really worry about all the damage they can do with executive orders or by using the EPA or OSHA or any other A. I’m 81 years old and am bordering on panic.
Right now I’m putting my chips on Sarah Palin based on what she did in Alaska.

It’ll be to congress like his joint session healthcare speech.

I think it’s about time we broadened the “definition” of treason.

I’m sure glad the Feds are going after those rabid, terroristic luthiers. I feel so much safer!

We probably should do that, as well as what constitutes a RICO violation.

In case it hasn’t been mentioned yet, I notice that Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz and his wife Catherine (a Gibson VP) contributed $2300 each to Mike Huckabee’s 2008 campaign. (http://bit.ly/n3uscI)

Palin has a role to play, and an important one, but it won’t be as president.

There’s a simple explanation. Barack Obama doesn’t see himself as the president of the United States, but president of the entire world. He’s just trying to get the jobs spread around. It’s not fair that the jobs are all centered in the US, other people need some as well.

Who exactly kicked our ass at Yorktown and made Barack Obama king?
September 1st, 2011 @ 3:12 pm
No, they’re too busy fawning over this fraud and worshiping him like the losers they are. The LameStream Media has lost any respectability they might have had in the past. We haven’t seen any “True Investigative” journalism since the retirement of Walter Cronkite. I have no faith in either our fourth estate or the Federal Gov’t anymore. That’s sad for sure.

Folks: many of the unions contain the word “International.” Seeing all the money that still exists overseas, these unions are now trying to be truly international.

Wow, so you guys are pretty much all doing this victim thing, huh? Because, you know, there is actually a law covering this (the Lacey Act, completely unmentioned in the Fox article linked). They appear to have violated it. You actually believe that career lawyers at the justice department looked up the donation history of Gibson’s CEO, saw that he donated to Republicans (and, I’ll point out, some Democrats as well), and decided to raid the factory?! Or, what, did Obama do this himself??
Let me put this to you another way: if you have enough support to have a majority in congress AND you own most of the guns, you’re probably not an oppressed minority. Did that help?

The problem isn’t the law, jackass; the problem is that the Thug-in-Chief is allowing people to violate it if they give him money, or take care of his union friends.
When private individuals do this, we call them the Mafia and arrest them.

More proof Obama wants to destroy the USA.
September 1st, 2011 @ 4:57 pm
This is a follow-on article to many published in previous days. No need to rehash every issue. Most people reading this already know that the Lacey act interpretation by the Justice Dept was nonsensical and, in any case, didn’t require a guns-drawn SWAT raid. The “career lawyers” at the Justice Dept are all recently hired far-leftists (look up recent FOIA disclosures). This is not opinion. Look it up. These people are incredibly political. Yes they certainly would authorize these raids for political purposes.
September 1st, 2011 @ 5:24 pm
The Fox article linked to the WSJ account which clearly discusses the Lacey Act. There is no indication in either article or elsewhere that Gibson has “appear(ed)” to have violated it. Who says that this was at the instigation of “career” anyone at DOJ? The “raid” is clearly a “fishing trip”. Would be interesting to see who filed the affadavit for a warrent and what was alleged. And what Judge issued it.

So why are they not going after Martin guitars, which also uses the same wood from the same regions, Madagascar and India? Oh, that would be because Martin is a union shop and Gibson is not. Thanks for helping me to point out yet more of the Obama Administrations organized criminal thuggery.
