‘Systematically Ignored’!

Posted on | September 18, 2011 | 26 Comments

A stunning allegation from Dan Collins at The Conservatory:

Besides, it’s about me (although it penumbrates Joy, Bruce and Enoch). What I mean to say is, it’s time to expose the sinister cabal of new media people who have conspired to ignore Conservative Commune, among whom I name: VodkaPundit, PJM Chief Exclusionist; Jim Treacherous of Daily Caller; High Hypocrite Eric Erickson of RedState; John Nolte, Breitbart.com’s Prime Rejector; Television’s Andy Levy, as well as many others who will be named later in my formal complaint.
If you’ve been deliberately and systematically ignored by any of these parties, let us know, and we will add you to our High Class Action. Let’s get these mofos.

Restraint of trade, conspiracy, failure to reciprocate linkage — the federal indictment will be a long one, I suspect. I’m tempted to file suit myself, citing various human rights violations such as last month’s traffic genocide, when we went 16 days without a link from Instapundit. But my lawyer advises me that “discovery is a bitch,” and if we sued over lack of linkage, we might be required to disclose valuable trade secrets including our patented Advanced Blogwhoring™ system.

Also, my lawyer suggests that the defendants might claim that the reason I don’t get linked more often is that sometimes my blogging sucks.

Slander! Libel! Defamation!

“failure to reciprocate linkage — the federal indictment will be a long one, I suspect. I’m tempted to file suit myself, ”

Well, if you do, be sure to name yourself since your policy of reciprocal linkage as described here* is bogus. Not that I’m bitter about that, I just prefer people to mean what they say and say what they mean.

“Reciprocal linkage is the essential lubricant that makes the blogosphere purr with contentment. If somebody’s throwing you traffic, you should either (a) give them a link-back update, or at a minimum (b) keep them in mind for future linkage. Because you don’t want to end up on the wrong end of a kharmic unbalance in the ‘sphere, where you’re always taking and never giving.”

Meh, Frank J. did this eons ago when he formed The Alliance and declared war on He Who Blends Puppies.

I attribute my lack of traffic and a total linkage by the Professor of Instalanche of zero to initial and continued suckage of my writing. I have to post pictures of semi-naked women just to generate enough traffic to even call my work a “blog” – it’s more like a “bleech”.

My first grade teacher, Mrs. Ruth Jones, can’t be wrong, can she? She said that my writing was great!

The Other McCain was my first link. The say you never forget your first.

Honestly, bro, we couldn’t make it any easier for you unless we showed up on your porch rattling a briefcase in one hand and the tip jar in the other.

Dude, we couldn’t make it easier to get listed in the FMJRA unless I showed up on your porch rattling a bit bucket in one hand and the tip jar in the other. The directions are EXTREMELY simple, and listed at the end of every FMJRA post.

Hey, I like Dan Collins fine – but only if it’s made from scratch, those mixes really suck.

Hey, I’ve been ignoring Dan’s new site too! Why is the Conservative Commune conspiring to ignore my conspiracy to ignore!?

McGehee, you beat me to it.  I believe I have successfully avoided linking their new site ever since they put it up.  I should sue them for ignoring my ignorance.

That didn’t come out right.  You mean what I know.

I faced the same problem of trackbacks/pings not working when my site was hosted by Register.com.  The same thing happens with Blogspot.

I did two simple things to make sure other sites knew I was linking:
    (1) I sent Smitty [this was pre-Wombat] a list of the posts I linked and the url for my posts each Friday, and (2) I left a comment in each TOM post I linked [ex: ‘Quoted From and Linked to at: (my post’s url)’].

Blame Blogspot [this was one the main reasons, when I moved my site, I moved it to WordPress].

You’re not alone.  I link Instapundit all the bloody time and he’s only linked back once…and it wasn’t to my main site, but to the IG-Gate aggregation site I started.  He hates me.

    Hell!…Memeorandum’s stopped linking me!

Yes, you have your Byzantine rules and Stacy has his utopian theory. But they don’t match. If Stacy were to add, “Unless we don’t feel like it.” to the end of his theory, then all would be fine. But your rules of, “If Stacy posts on a Monday, and you link him five days later on Friday, we’ll give you linky love. But if Stacy posts on Friday and you link him three days later on Monday, you’re too late sucker!”, meh, Obama makes more sense than that.

I guess I wouldn’t be too off topic if I announced my link to one of your Joe McGinness-Palin posts here-

Joe McGinness, Democrats And Other Passive Aggressive Racists

It took a while to get around to it, so I should put it on page two or
three? I’m not a blog whore I’m a blog slut, but I will be seen. (Provided I comment on the correct post anyway)

Well, I have zero linkage as well!

But that’s because I don’t have a blog in the first place.

    😀

You know, if I cared what you thought, I might be offended by that.

    September 19th, 2011 @ 12:20 am

I don’t want you offended and I don’t intend to offend. I want Stacy to say what he means and mean what he says. If he simply added one more sentence to his theoretical musing on the subject, something like, “Unless we don’t want to.” then everything would be ticked and tied.

He does it because we both looked like each other back when we were younger and I aged like a fine wine and he looks like a slightly better version of Bill Gates. The only similarity we still share is that we both married up.
