Because you need a vast amount of art education to learn how to print neatly…

    *rolls eyes*

The sign would be better if his art funding hadn’t been cut?  Personally, I doubt it.  Money doesn’t turn zero talent into actual talent… just look at Barack Obama.

This guy’s sign would be better if he was a decent artist.

“Some take a yellow blob of paint and turn it into the sun.  Others take the sun and turn it into a yellow blob of paint” – Picasso

An ARTIST doesn’t let anything get in the way of his art!

You are NO artist. Get a job hippie!

Anyone who wants to be an ‘artist’ should get a day job first, or else be prepared for years of poverty.

I’m a professional watercolorist.  I’ve never received a dime of “art funding,” nor would I accept it if it were available to me.

That sign might have been better had he received art funding, but the cost of receiving the funding is the loss of the freedom to paint what you want.  The hand that feeds is the hand that controls.

    You worthless dirtbag.

Real artists find a way.  Even if they have to get a real job and paint in their free time.  They’re about the art, not the money.

Phony-baloney parasite poseurs just want a scam.  If the public won’t buy your worthless “art,” why should their tax money pay for it?  You’re just like the gigolos who service mean old ladies for their daily bread.

    Now go find a job.

Whoa now, gigolos provide a valuable service, at least.

You are right.  Not to mention that gigolos are privately funded.

That means phony artists living on public money (“welfare by any other name”) are lower even than gigolos.

    Complaint:

I spent $80,000 for a degree in Painting. Now, I can’t find a job as a world renowned artist! I want my money back.

What a dimwit.  There isn’t enought money to make this guy talented.  Another one from public education whose parents and teachers told him”good job” on whatever he did and in fact it was probably less than medicore.

He’s funding whatever he wants [boom, boom].
