UPDATE: Upon a closer reading, I see that Green really only pointed to VA going to Obama in the update, in a wild contingency meant to show what BHO would have to do to have a glimmer of a chance. Accusation retracted, switching to decaf.

In Wargaming the Electoral College, Stephen Green has the temerity to assert that Virginia will go to #OccupyResoluteDesk next November. Lay off the absinthe, man! I realize you’re trying to make something of an interestion post out of the 2012 election, but come on: we brought in Bob McDonnell by a 17 point margin in 2009, and further increased GOP control this year.

I predict that by the time next November finally arrives, BHO will be in such bad shape that Virginia would vote for Snooki over him.
Oh, and by the way: what is the over-under on Hillary replacing Biden on the Democrat ticket?

    I said no such thing. I have Virginia in the tossup category, ready to go red in an instant.

    You might be thinking of my second map, where I showed that if the GOP sweeps PA, OH, and FL, then Obama *must* carry VA and NC — and I think the former is unlikely and the latter well-nigh impossible.

    I thought I’d made that clear, but perhaps not.

    Hillary wants to be president, not vice-president. A vice-presidency under Obamaclypse would cement her name into the Walk of Fail forever.

    If #OccupyResoluteDesk figures he can buy enough votes to win that way, he might well ask. It make the Dem. ticket historic again.
    After the inauguration, something. . .unexpected occurs, and she’s the first woman president.

    Hillary for president running about 8%. I think just replacing Biden would not do much to help, and may put Barry-O’s health at risk, if you know what I mean.

    His health is even more at risk now. If something were to happen to Obama here in the next month or two, who do you think Biden would ask to be his VP? A hint-a cynic might assume that person, whoever SHE might be, might well be a shoe-in to be the next Democratic nominee.
