Cynthia Yockey Compiles the Headlines (With Gratuituous Cheesecake, Too)

NAPLES, Fla.
A couple days ago, on my drive from Jacksonville to Orlando, Cynthia Yockey and I had a phone conversation that eventually turned to the question of what she could do in the way of revenue enhancement.

“Look, give me a good daily headline aggregation of campaign news,” I said. “With all this running around and deadlines and stuff, I’m falling way behind on the basic political news. I’d be happy to outsource the aggregation, so to speak, and tell people to hit your tip jar for it. Just be sure and include a vintage pin-up girl in every post.”

So she did, and features Mary Tyler Moore in her headline aggregation today. If you like brunettes with sunny smiles — and hey, I married one — you gotta love MTM. Because she’s got spunk!

You’ve just seen a three-minute enactment of what the interview process would look like if I ran the newsroom. Except that, unlike Lou Grant, I actually like spunk.

    Stacy, I just saw you on an NBC clip, strolling behind Rick Santorum. It was that hippy shirt that drew my eye! LOL
