Another Starlet in ‘Downward Spiral’

Posted on | April 15, 2012 | 12 Comments

The former star of All That and The Amanda Show is alleged to be the latest victim of Britney/Lindsay Syndrome:

Amanda Bynes isn’t letting her recent DUI arrest slow her down. The former Nickelodeon star hit both the Chateau Marmont and the hip nightclub Greystone Manor Thursday night, despite pleadings from some around her to go into rehab.
Amanda has been in a downward spiral for the last six months. Even though her dad publicly said she doesn’t drink, he knows she has a problem. It’s truly sad to witness. Amanda has been told she must go to rehab, but she is refusing,” a source close to Bynes tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

She sidewiped a cop car at 3 a.m., which is pretty bad, but does every 20-something who gets a DUI have to go to rehab? Or does this rule only apply to Hollywood starlets?

Amanda’s larger problem is that her career is in the tank: She hasn’t been in a movie since the 2010 teen comedy Easy A and, at 26, she’s past the age to be playing schoolgirls, but still too young to be writing feminist rants about being objectified by the effin’ patriarchy.

I have this vision of a skit with Bynes as Penelope Taynt trying to sneak into the police state because she “Must meet Amanda!”

and then impersonating a staffer at the Rehab for the same reason.

This is the most likely Saturday Night live scenario once all is said and done.

Hollywood embodies that old saw of “love them and leave them”.

So will her next move be:

    A. A feminist rant against Right Wing Republicans and their lazy wives to curry favor with the Hollywood elite so she can get an eff’n role.

    OR

    B. How she can make it on her own without a man or Hollywood.

    OR

    C. Found lying in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton with a “white substance” around her nose and mouth and in an alcohol induced coma.

Please. Don’t we have more important things to ponder than some poor misguided teen queen who’s looks made her popular but thought it was because she was soooo smart and who forgot that it’s a long way to fall?

Speaking of Jennifer Anniston, has she had a kid yet? Or is that guy that trails her around just to carry her bags ‘n stuff? I guess she has reasons for not adopting. (no copycat her).

Notice after her feminist rants, her popularity (and thus her star appeal and MONEY) dissipated. Men don’t like being told by someone who looks like she got handed her fame and fortune about how they’re not necessary. My winkydink shriveled up ever since  that revealing statement whenever I see her picture or hear her name. Fantasies require just a tiny bit of possibility and hope to be worth anything or sustainable.

Most men aren’t really turned on by suspected dykes spouting disdain for men. (at least when it’s only one at a time anyway.)

I mean it was an ah ha moment for me. I thought “NOW I understand all the men who couldn’t close the deal!” There wasn’t a deal to close maybe?

Anyway it just seems that leftists in their various flavors can’t seem to resist letting us know how much smarter they are than us and how evil we are and then wonder why they can’t sell any  movies anymore.

Once a pretty young girl goes so high in Hollywood, there’s probably more than plenty of people waiting to get them hooked on drugs and the party lifestyle, so they can hook them up with an entourage, drain them dry, then leave them in the gutter.

You must be new around here. 😉
Posts about Hollywood Girls Gone Wrong are a staple at The Other McCain, just like the Rule 5 Sunday roundup and Offend A Feminist Week, and if you wonder why, check out the FMJRA for this week (should be up at noon) to see what draws all the links.

The thing that strikes me as especially creepy is that a lot of starlets who come up through the Disney star-making machine seem especially prone to this sort of behavior.

Why should that surprise you? This isn’t your grandfather’s Disney we’re talking about here. The Disney of today has gone to the sewer rats over the last twenty years, at least. But, you do make an excellent point as to where the behavior might be started and encouraged.

Personally, anytime I see a star in the constant company of any kind of entourage, aside from qualified personal security personnel, I have to wonder what the purpose of it is, aside from the obvious angle of making them look really super popular and important. But who’s paying for it? Why should a has-been like Whitney Houston, whose best days were long behind her and could never hope to be revived, warrant an entourage? It makes me wonder if somebody might have decided it was time to cut their losses and wait for the proceeds from the next compilation CD to start pouring in.

    She still had money.

Yeah, but probably spending a lot more of it than she could ever hope to bring back in, but still under contract.

Indeed: We’ve probably been neglecting our coverage of starlet meltdowns for several months because of the presidential campaign. Now that we’re DOOMED BEYOND ALL HOPE OF REDEMPTION, I’ll have time to catch up.

Also: Miley had her wild phase, but hasn’t made any scandalous headlines lately.

But Amanda Bynes was never Disney, she was Nickelodeon.

[…] I’m more of a classic rock guy. My occasionaly interest in celebrity news tends more toward starlet meltdowns, and other such “Hollywood Babylon” stuff. So I’m grateful to feminist Naomi […]
