Reasons Not to Have Sex

Posted on | August 13, 2012 | 20 Comments

You’re young. You’re sexy. You meet somebody else young and sexy. And next thing you know, you’ve got yourself a nearly incurable case of antibiotic-resistant Super-Clap:

Five years ago, the CDC said fluoroquinolones were no longer effective, but oral cephalosporins were still a common/easy treatment. Now injected ceftriaxone is the only recommended effective drug we have left. And it has to be given along with either azithromycin or doxycycline. . . .
Once gonorrhea becomes resistant to the last of our cephalosporin antibiotics — “its only a matter of time,” according to Dr. Gail Bolan, Director of STD Prevention at the CDC in todays announcement — we will have no treatment. Then when it gets into your bloodstream, it will be lethal.

Sex = death. Might as well start smoking cigarettes. It’s safer.

Actually this is reasons to find a clean partner and settle down.   I know that sounds rather radical and crazy…but many people really used to do that.

And even if they were not perfect at it (because obviously they were not), you are playing Russian Roulette every time you…ahem…pull that trigger.

May the odds be in your favor.

How about exercising discernment coupled with marriage?  This is just proof that being a skeez will catch up to you.

Whoa, you mean that there are pragmatic, public-health reasons for doing all those old fashioned, out of date things in the Bible? Things that don’t go out of fashion, no matter what contraceptive and antibiotic medical technology we dream up?

    You don’t say.

What a bunch of prudish reactionaries we have in the commentariat here. Actually suggesting a person marry and be faithful. How Victorian! How sensible!

Natural population control… AKA sustainability… I never found one nite stands very satisfactory…anyhow!

Well, for heterosexuals gonorrhea will yet another thing the IPAB says it won’t pay for: prevention (unless you’re a Georgetown University Law Center student), detection or treatment.

If we’re lucky, the GLBT will get it and billions of tax dollars will be thrown at ensuring they’re healthy enough to behave like Georgetown University Law Center Students. Of course, you’ll have to lie to the IPAB in order to get treated and say you’re pansexual.

Lefties should not complain about this.  It’s a classic demonstration of Darwinism in action.

Fear of STD’s has largely been the reason I’ve not really tried.   Seeing the very graphic pictures at RTC of what happens when you get them scared me a little too well.

Maybe we should bring back the WWII training films…..updated for these new bugs, of course.

And with real graphical images, not CGI.

I hear there’s this awesome new 3-D technology at the moving pictures now.

Amazing, chastity until marriage and monogamy there after would wipe out venereal disease in a generation.

Supposedly, the high point of my Grandfather’s Naval career was directing an anti-VD film for sailors.

So, just in case, you know,… how does a ‘pansexual’, well you know… do IT?

Might be good to know?… just saying?

I’m sure HBO’s Real Sex has covered this important issue.
