The Problem Is, You’re Losing

Why are you losing? Because you are a loser:
Matt [Lewis] made his regular appearance on Morning Joe to discuss his column. Are the hardball tactics pushed as an answer to the tactics of the Left pushing idealistic young Christians out of politics altogether?
You can read the whole thing and watch the video at Hot Air, where Ed Morrissey’s take on the situation is closer to the reality than is Matt’s, but still not right. If “young Christians” are not excited about Republicans, it’s for the same basic reason that nobody else is excited about Republicans now: They’re looking and sounding like a bunch of demoralized losers afflicted with a horrible burden of psychological guilt: “Vote Republican, maybe? Because, like, whatever?”
A party which, in successive presidential elections, nominated the vicious backstabbing crapweasel John McCain and the Massachusetts moderate Mitt Romney, is not a party that is confident in the rightness of its own principles and which is communicating to its own constituents, “We are ashamed to have to represent you trash.”
Democrats are Satan’s own party. Maybe someone should mention that.

Partisan politics these days tends to produce nothing but losers.

If only the Republican party would nominate a conservative again, these problems with the “base” would go away.

“Vote Republican. At least then, the press will watch what the government is up to.”

Would that the GOP had a motivational reform platform.

The Republicans treat conservative Christians like the Dems treat any of their minority constituencies. They take Christians for granted, because they know, Christians cannot in good conscience support a Democratic Party which, inter alia claims child murder as its ultimate sacrament. Further, the current Democrats are completely indifferent to Christian persecution around the world and indeed, have facilitated it to a great extent during the present administration.
The the Pubs stood for something principled and brought people in who could go toe-to-toe with their opponents, the exodus of young Christians might stop. The problem is, the elitists of the party just want Christian votes. They do not wish to give us a voice in shaping the agenda.

A renewed “agenda-free” emphasis on American Exceptionalism might reinvigorate the base…

Republicans are so lame they are still clinging to the notion that illegal aliens are a natural Republican constituency. No evidence, just “they’re Catholics!” (so is Pelosi) “they’re hardworking!” (uneducated, but hardworking) “they’ve got big families!” (which they need help paying for). Way to go GOP, importing uneducated people just raring to be taken care of. There’s a recipe for success.

Looking at the Establishmentarian GOP, the only difference between it and the Democrat Party is the latter’s formal requirement to swear to uphold abortion. The GOP won’t swear to support abortion, but they also don’t pledge to end it, so the practical effect of upholding abortion is the same as the Dems.
Social issues are fiscal issues. Fiscal issues are social issues. Why should young Xtians join the GOP when their elders tell them anti-abortionism is a perennial loser, and the elders tell them its okay to be socially liberal but fiscally conservative.

Stellar record governing, sticking her neck out confronting Obama, 2 books ˜fact-checked” to the hilt, 26,000 emails forced open, and an independently made movie – all show that Gov. Sarah Palin is a hard working, capable, incorruptible, servant of the people.
Gov. Sarah Palin has the truth on her side (see ObamaCare “death panels”). The more that comes to light, the better for her. The exact opposite of the vast majority of politicians.
