Obama and the New York Times Decide Which Health Plans Are Worth Keeping

Be grateful for enlightenment from Our Moral Superiors:

Congressional Republicans have stoked consumer fears and confusion with charges that the health care reform law is causing insurers to cancel existing policies and will force many people to pay substantially higher premiums next year for coverage they don’t want. That, they say, violates President Obama’s pledge that if you like the insurance you have, you can keep it.
Mr. Obama clearly misspoke when he said that.

Doug Ross: “These people make Chris Matthews look objective.” Letting ordinary Americans have choices is acceptable to Our Moral Superiors, as long as they get to decide which choices we have.

There’s a term for people who supposedly ‘misspeak’ a lot.

    Liar.

Next he should try saying that the speech writer goofed or the teleprompter malfunctioned. When that fails he can play the victim card again by saying that the insurance companies, the writers of the bill and his advisers ALL lied to him to derail his second term.

  25. NYT: Obama Just ‘Misspoke’ With All Of That Talk About Keeping Your Insurance | The Lonely Conservative
    November 3rd, 2013 @ 5:46 pm

[…] Hmmm. Usually when one misspeaks, it’s a one-time thing. Not something that’s been debated by one’s advisers and then repeated over and over again, for years on end. But hey, what should we expect from our moral superiors at the NYT? […]

The mendacity of the NYT is exposed by the simultaneously released news that whether or not to use the “If you like your plan, you can keep it” line was fully debated within the White House. How can someone who has carefully discussed the angles of a statement be said to “misspeak” when they adopt the final agreed version?

That paper hasn’t been worth a shi’ite since Pinch forced Abe Rosenthal out twenty years ago.

“Misspoke” is Dem euphemism for “got caught lying.” Like when Hillary “misspoke” about bullets whizzing over her head. Dem politics/culture would be impossible without lying, euphemisms, and euphemisms for lying. (Check out the entire abortion industry.)
