Two Cops Shot in Ferguson
Posted on | March 12, 2015 | 26 Comments
Months of anti-police agitation produce the expected consequences:
Two police officers were hit by gunfire early Thursday outside the Ferguson police department.
The shots were fired just after midnight as police were confronting protesters who had gathered outside the police station.
St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said one officer was with his department and the other was with the Webster Groves department. Both were being treated at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where Belmar spoke.
The chief said at least three shots were fired. He described the injuries of both men as “very serious wounds.”
The Webster Groves officer was shot in the face. He is 32 and has been on the force five years.
The county officer was hit in the shoulder. That officer is 41 and has been on the force for 14 years.
Belmar said no suspects have been identified in the shootings.
Via Memeorandum. This incident occurred the same day Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson was forced to resign.

Well done sir, his profile is thankfully short but long on sordid. I suspect he’ll continue to have trouble with that handle!
March 12th, 2015 @ 6:46 am
I expect we will be hearing soon from all the usual suspects that the police need to “scale back their response” and “break the cycle of violence.” No doubt the Attorney General can also use this as a helpful opportunity to further demonize the Ferguson Police Department for violating the civil rights of those bullets as they sought to peacefully express themselves.
March 12th, 2015 @ 6:50 am
Interesting that neither officer was FPD.
March 12th, 2015 @ 6:55 am
True, but I don’t think that the protestors want to dilute the outrage by spreading it too widely. It was a cop in Ferguson, so the vast percentage of people will assume that it was a Ferguson cop.
March 12th, 2015 @ 7:26 am
Sarah Palin’s election literature supposedly caused the Giffords’ shooting even though the shooter never saw it and shot Giffords (and a Republican judge) for entirely different reasons.
Al Sharpton gins up a crowd with vile, anti-white, racist lies about “hand up, don’t shoot,” two cops get shot, and he’s routinely invited to Obama’s White House.
Which tells you everything you need to know about Barack Hussein Obama.

“In Ferguson/Cali/NY? Black women are leading that and have since day one.”
That’s a black intersectionalist feminist named Jamilah Lemieux. She has 138,000 Tweets since Sept. 2008. That quote was retweeted by another black intersectionalist named Mikki Kendall who has 163,000 Tweets since Dec. 2009.
They both regularly interact with some hairdresser who calls herself thetrudz who has 381,000 Tweets since April, 2009. They all 3 are viciously anti-white. At least the latter two seem to do nothing all day but Tweet.
This is what lays in back of what we call “political correctness” as of 2015. A more truly lesbian radical feminist version is what lies behind the nonsense that has enveloped the core science fiction community and its conventions.
Together we call these unknown thousands “social justice warriors,” and their non-stop hate speech in the last few years has blood on its hands. The entire crew do nothing but incite hate against straight white men based on skewed demographics and false statistics they interpret as a “white supremacy.” They never shut up about white men, not for one day. The Science Fiction Writers of America alone has some 70 people who indulge in this crap on Twitter and blogs, a dull-witted alliance 2/3 feminists and 1/3 useful idiot men.
There is no law against what they do, nor should there be, but blood is what you get when you mainstream hate speech as noble and necessary. Just ask Jews and Rwanda.
March 12th, 2015 @ 7:38 am
The entire Ferguson Police Force should resign en masse, and find jobs elsewhere.
Then St. Louis County should post patrolmen around the perimeter of Ferguson.
The inmates can then police their own little asylum. Give ’em what they want, good & hard.
March 12th, 2015 @ 7:51 am
In St. Louis County, all the municipalities and the county have mutual aid agreements. It the beginning of the protest, Ferguson sent out a “Code 1000” asking for assistance which was provided by other entities.
March 12th, 2015 @ 7:52 am
Also, the NYT can go f*ck themselves. FIRST DAMNED SENTENCE from their “coverage” and they go IMMEDIATELY into spin mode, saying the shootings had throw “into panic what had been a spirited – and at times tense – but largely peaceful night of protests”.
“Spirited” – bullcrap.
“At times tense” – if by “at times” you mean “from start to end”
“largely peaceful” – except for the part where two cops were gunned down.
I’ll stop writing now, as my anger is getting the best of me.
March 12th, 2015 @ 8:12 am
The word backfire is particularly apropos. As in, if you’re angry because cops shoot “unarmed” black men when they feel threatened, just imagine how jumpy they feel now? This was not only hurtful to the cops and their families, these shots will backfire and ricochet for a long time to come, and you will feel a great deal of pain as a result. People who punch concrete walls are stupid.
Insert Gunnery Sergeant Hartman’s jelly donut speech to the platoon … here.
March 12th, 2015 @ 8:26 am
There is no question that agitators will not let Ferguson disappear, aided and abetted by the current administration. Consider: All the evidence was released weeks ago to massive media spin without comment from the feds. Rather, they let Bob McCulloch twist in the wind until attentions were diverted to release their own conclusion that Darren Wilson would not be charged, i.e. that the Approved Narrative was a lie from the beginning. Nonetheless, they had to issue a report about “pervasive racism” in Ferguson.
How different would things be, had Holder stood with McCulloch and both said that the shooting of Michael Brown was justified under the facts? I wouldn’t have cared whether they said, “there may be racism in police departments, but this case is not it.”
Instead, they refuse and do nothing to defuse the situation.
The question is why?
There is only one answer: They want continued conflagration for their own purposes.
March 12th, 2015 @ 8:42 am
Unfortunately for our noble “marginalized,” this is not Nazi Germany or Rwanda. They can’t make their hate speech stick. All they can do is function as idiots who have no idea of the enemies they are making in a country that’s a long way from the gulag they paint it as. In fact this country is at an historic apex of human rights.
Their trivial oppressions and statistical anomalies are ridiculous. Indeed why are we surprised a heavily armed gang culture of endemic criminality takes innocent casualties? Only someone with mental health issues thinks cops have created this. It is those very fools on Twitter defending what is essentially a drug-ridden Murder, Inc. from coast to coast who are at fault, not to mention the criminal themselves, of course.
For all their ability to peer through the cracks and see conspiracies, that’s just too obvious for them. It’s as if the Mafia had a public relations dept. cranking out blogs and Tweets saying “Mafia? What Mafia? Police brutality, dude.”
March 12th, 2015 @ 9:11 am
Standard leftist crapola. What’s theirs is theirs and what’s yours is theirs.

Wait till they figure out that they’ve been supplanted by Hispanics on the victim totem.
From the late sixties riots which resulted in tons of money being thrown at the problem, through busing for desegregating schools to affirmative action, tolerance for all sorts of nonsense has relied on a deep reservoir of white guilt. Oops.
