It would be agreeable if Britain had a replay of Canada’s 1993 election and UKIP just destroys the Cameron Tories, but it looks like that’s not going to happen and UKIP may pick up 20 odd seats.

The British Conservatives are adept at being a fantastic disappointment. After Mrs. Thatcher’s departure, they returned, like a gyroscope, to their usual craven and temporizing stance. And we’re stuck with Boehner and McConnell.
