Minneapolis Is Decadent and Depraved

The late Renee Nicole Good
There are about a million things I could say about what happened Wednesday morning in Minneapolis, and the subsequent reaction, but before we get to the commentary, first let’s grab the news:
The woman gunned down by an ICE agent in Minneapolis has been identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, who described herself as a mother, a wife and a poet.
Good was identified by her mom hours after she was shot and killed when she clipped an ICE agent with her car during a protest against the federal agents, the Star Tribune reported.
“Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,” her mother, Donna Ganger, told the newspaper. . . .
Video appeared to show her Honda Pilot making contact with an ICE agent as he opened fire. President Trump and other officials have said Good’s killing was justified as the officer was acting in self-defense.
Good was the mom of a 6-year-old boy and had recently moved to the neighborhood with her wife and son, according to her distraught spouse and a neighbor who spoke to the Tribune. She was killed just blocks away from her home, the outlet reported.
Her young son was left an orphan by the shooting, according to his shaken grandfather.
The child’s father, a comedian Good was previously married to, died in 2023, also at age 37. . . .
Gonna pause there a minute, because in none of the news accounts I’ve read is this explained: She was from Colorado Springs. The father of her child, Timmy Ray Macklin Jr., spent 14 years in the Air Force then tried to become a comedian before his death at age 36 (not 37). Less than three years later, the widow is living in Minneapolis with a lesbian “wife” and participating in radical protests? How does this happen? It’s hardly your typical Hallmark Channel movie plot. Back to the news:
In addition to being a mom, Good was a “writer and poet” who graduated from Old Dominion University, where she studied creative writing. She was originally from Colorado Springs.
“Wife and mom and sh–ty guitar strummer from Colorado; experiencing Minneapolis,” read her Instagram bio, which was accompanied by a pride flag and she/her pronouns.
She was killed in a middle-class neighborhood in south Minneapolis where ICE agents were carrying out an immigration operation Wednesday.
Good recently moved to the neighborhood with her partner and lived just a few blocks away from where she was fatally shot, the outlet reported. . . .
Good was among several people who allegedly blocked the street with their vehicles to prevent the agents from moving, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Agents got out of their blocked truck and ordered the woman to move her SUV, at which point she sped toward one of the officers, pushing him with her vehicle, feds alleged. As he spun toward the driver’s seat window, he fired three shots into the car, footage from numerous angles shows
She was shot at least once in the head, and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Department of Homeland Security called her a domestic terrorist who attempted to kill federal agents.
“One of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them — an act of domestic terrorism,” DHS assistant secretary for public affairs Tricia McLaughlin wrote on X.
Good’s mother was baffled by the idea of her being involved in an ICE protest, however, saying she was “not part of anything like that at all.” . . .
Footage taken near the scene appeared to show a distraught woman who identified herself as Good’s wife – who sobbed as she said the shooting was “her fault” and that she had a young child at school.
“They shot her in the head. I have a 6 year old in school,” she appeared to say, telling a bystander that they were new to the area and she didn’t know who to call.
“I made her come down here, it’s my fault,” she said. “They just shot my wife.”
At some point in the next few days, some reporter is going to get more biographical detail that can help explain this situation. Renee Good was not from Minneapolis, and it does not appear that her lesbian wife was, either. What does the grieving lesbian mean by, “I made her come down here”? What does the grieving mother mean that her late daughter was “not part of anything like that at all”? Obviously she was part of something like that, but you can understand that joining a radical terrorist group is maybe something you don’t tell your mom about.
The deadly chaos in Minneapolis happened two days after the state’s governor, embroiled in a fraud scandal, announced he would not seek reelection. The rhetorical escalation Wednesday was immediate:
Yesterday, Tim Walz declared Minnesota is at "war against the federal government."
Again today, he called it "war with our federal government."

Holy shit…
Governor Walz just said he is deploying the Minnesota National Guard to protect Minnesotans from “rogue federal agents”, meaning ICE.
This is EXTREMELY dangerous stuff.
I’m talking Civil War Fort Sumter.

OK, so the governor declares war against the United States, and the mayor tells federal agents to “get the f–k out” of his city, and what is the President of the United States supposed to do? America’s immigration laws are almost entirely the work of Democrats, beginning with the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965, also known as the Hart-Celler Act. Ted Kennedy was the leading advocate for passage of that measure in the Senate, at a time when Democrats had a 66-seat filibuster-proof Senate majority. These are the laws that ICE is enforcing. Why are Democrats so determined to prevent their own laws from being enforced? Good luck getting any kind of honest and coherent explanation about this enigma; Democrats are so far gone in Trump Derangement Syndrome that they can do little more than yelling obscenities.
"The presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city."
If the mere presence of federal civil authority in your city causes chaos, your city exists in a state of insurrection. https://t.co/UyR5ZF6D1z
