At The Patrick Murray Campaign Office Opener Part 1

Last night I was at the Murray For Congress campaign office opener. A piper played Atholl Highlanders, which, if you follow the link, is tangentially linked to candidate Murray.
Since I’ve studied that fine 6/8 quick time, I knew when to zoom in for the open grips at the end of the second stanza, said the nerd.
The crowd was festive:

On to the speakers.
I must confess embarrassment, as, other than voting, I’ve paid scant attention to local politics. Thus I was taken aback by City Council member named Alicia Hughes, whose forceful, engaging, intelligent delivery would seem to admit no limit to her possibilities for public service:

Deleted 15 seconds of microphone juggling.

And then she concludes:

The ‘Democrats for Murray’ sign in the back of these clips is a hoot. Come on, Democrats, think of the country and the need to overthrow the Ancien Pelosi RĂ©gime, for which “Gentleman” Jim Moran has made a fine doorstop. Jump in. The water is fine.
