Stand Up for Nikki Haley!

Dan Riehl is exactly right:

I’d rather be a little wrong now . . . than give in to low-life, bottom-feeders trying to find a safe rock to hide behind to secure their position in SC’s political stream. . . . I’m standing with Nikki Haley and her family. And I hope SC voters do, as well.

Brian O’Connor at Red Dog Report is also exactly right:

The only conclusion that can be drawn is that we are witnessing . . . a coordinated attack to discredit the most popular and qualified candidate in the field.

We have long ceased to expect that Democrats or the liberal media would treat any conservative woman with courtesy. However, there is a special horror in watching this woman subjected to such a vile smear campaign by Republican political operatives.

Every Republican who cares about the reputation of their party should take action immediately:

  • Call the Republican National Committee (202-863-8500) and demand that chairman Michael Steele denounce these vicious tactics in no uncertain terms.
  • Call the Republican Governors Association (202-662-4140) and demand that chairman Haley Barbour denounce these political character assassins.
  • Call the South Carolina GOP (803-988-8440) and ask chairwoman Karen Floyd why she has not demanded a stop to this slime campaign against Nikki Haley.

Dr. Melissa Clouthier is exactly right:

Where are the feminists? Oh right, she’s a Republican.

Certainly, no feminist can be expected to defend a conservative woman. To quote Palin-hating feminist Jessica Valenti, feminism is “a social justice movement,” a radical ideology akin to Marxism.

To hell with feminism.

This isn’t about “social justice.” This is about trying to preserve some semblance of basic decency in politics. As a Southerner, I am particularly disturbed to think Nikki Haley’s enemies believe that the people of South Carolina would not only tolerate but endorse this kind of cruelty against her.

Is chivalry dead in South Carolina? Does no shred of honor remain?

NIKKI HALEY for GOVERNOR

I do not know Nikki Haley, but two guys with obvious biases and conflicts of interest making allegations of this nature, should not be enough to derail a promissing political career. If these allegations are false (and I believe them to be false based on what I have seen so far), these two deserve to be horse whipped. And I do not mean that rhetorically.

Maybe a drunken Marchant picked up a stoned Will Folks in a Nikki wig in that Utah hotel bar.

Haley wasn’t even in the state, but in their confusion, they both thought they got lucky.

It explains so much. So very, very much…

I don’t know what is more pathetic – the sick wretches “coming out” with the sleaze, or that the establishment puppet-masters behind them actually thought it might work.

South Carolina needs this embarrassment. Perhaps the shock of our shame being exposed to the whole country will awaken some of our citizens to act, and vote for reformers not only for statewide offices, but for the legislature as well.

“Social justice” often results in the exact opposite of actual justice. Ditto for “reproductive justice” or “distributive justice” or anything else that the progressive Left dreams up; the “justice” is just stuck on the end to obscure the atrocity of the idea.
