Elena Kagan: Bork Hearings Were
‘Best Thing That Ever Happened’

Posted on | June 21, 2010 | 3 Comments

“I love what happened in the Bork hearings. . . . The Bork hearings were the best thing that ever happened to constitutional democracy.”

Perhaps Judge Bork will be willing to share his own perspective on that experience during the Americans United for Life press briefing Wednesday.

UPDATE: Dave Weigel reminds us of how liberals demonized Bork:

Associated Press: “Failed conservative Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork . . .”

Yeah. Associated Press circa 1945: “Failed diarist Anne Frank . . .”

From her lips to the Senator’s ears. My guess though she will manage not to get Borked.

She may never have been Borked for all you know.

Maybe she is curious about being Borked?
