DaTechGuy Double Dose

by Smitty

This blog and DaTechGuy form something of a mutual admiration society. Besides being a thoroughgoing gentleman, he also was also kind enough to opine on Erik Erickson and Matt Kibbe, who opened the BlogCon thoughtful remarks.
Erickson had offered an anecdote about a decent neighbor who had been neighborly until discovering that Erik is conservative, at which point the neighbor could only sputter about Dick Cheney connections:

Reacting to the need for post-03 November continuity of the Tea Parties. DTG touches on the historical ‘antidote’ of LBJ, and then delves into the fact that sports teams succeed or fail in practices, and win on gameday. Then he free associates to BHO as an unaffordably expensive free agent pick for the left, and the country.

How did I know DaTechGuy would sound like the third Click and Clack brother from Car Talk.

I love the baseball analogy. B.O. is a bad free agent signing…sounds like Manny Ramirez and the Dodgers.

Baseball analogies, you can use them for everything!

If I was to describe Smitty as a baseball player it would be Greg Maddux and Stacy would be Nolan Ryan.

LOL, Joe, He does sound like that.

I think that accent is great. I appreciate what he says about the left wanting to paint people who disagree with them as a bunch of idiots. Everybody who isn’t a leftist is either fed up or getting fed up by the condescension and disdain of Democrats. I’ve only been voting for Republicans since November 2008 (after a political conversion) and I am appalled by the elitist attitude of my former party.

He adds the Hussein so that no one will confuse him with all the other American President Barack Obamas out there? I understand the need when dealing with John Adams’s & George Bush’s.

DTG is forgetting one thing though and that is that the Republicans are playing on the SAME TEAM TOO! Only they are not buying into the coach’s game plan. They complain that they don’t have enough plays go their way, they don’t get enough touches. The republicans are Terrel Owens, Chad Ocho Cinco, & Randy Moss.

When they win and get the ball they are great and happy. When they lose its all drama.
