So, is this the secret information that Trump was going to release. I’ve got a good idea: Let’s see his transcripts.

It’s not the Harvard Law transcripts you want. Everyone acknowledges that he aced that. It’s his undergraduate transcript at Columbia that would have interesting details.

The pdf looks like the certificate was faxed to the White House and they, in their ham-fisted way, decided to add the cross-hatch pattern behind it.
As far as form and content (of the black portion), it looks right.

I’m now more convinced that Obama was born in Hawaii than I am that OJ did it.

On the other side of this … all those court cases costing how many millions of dollars. The man has no sense of the value of a dollar because it’s always somebody else’s dollar that he is spending.

No, not “everyone acknowledges that he aced that.” When Obama graduated Harvard Law, 76% of those graduating received “with honors, {cum laude for our Latin scholars out there}. And as for “magna cum laude,” one need only have graduated in the top FIFTY PERCENT of the overall class.

So what a fricken joke that “honor” system was!

In fact, it was so bad, that not much after he graduated, Harvard Law changed their entire honor system.

And another thing you’re forgetting is the role of grade inflation for those courses he took after his 1L and 2L required courses.

Now what do you think the odds were of liberal profs at Harvard Law awarding top marks to their young, black male student?

That guy knows as much about getting top grades as he does about throwing a baseball like a red-blooded, American man!

This is from the White House news release on the birth certificate:

“At a time of great consequence for this country – when we should be debating how we win the future, reduce our deficit, deal with high gas prices, and bring stability to the Middle East, Washington, DC, was once again distracted by a fake issue. The President’s hope is that with this step, we can move on to debating the bigger issues that matter to the American people and the future of the country.”

First of all, that bitchy tone tells you all you need to know about whether Trump was gaining traction in the polls. They just couldn’t turn loose of the news release without giving us proles a good scolding for not sticking to the agenda.

Second, who thought it was a good idea to list a bunch of issues for which Obama has abdicated all leadership? “We should be debating X, Y and Z” is so weak. It reflects Obama’s failure to lead. Note that in none of these cases has Obama put forward a specific plan. I guess that’s why he wants us to “debate,” to decide amongst ourselves what the right course of action is, and then Obama can get out in front and lead the parade after it starts down the street. Note that they say “we should be debating..” rather than “we should be focusing on.. ”

A leader would have put out a statement that says: “Some people wanted to see my birth certificate. Here it is.”

Enh. I don’t give a fig one way or the other, but 99+ percent of the media, and RS McCain, have gotten this wrong: this is a Certificate of Live Birth, not a birth certificate. The difference is important: a birth certificate tells where someone is born, a certificate of live birth means ‘here’s a baby that’s alive’ but does NOT establish where said baby was born.

Obama could have been born on a spaceship orbiting a planet around Betelgeuse, shown up in Hawaii a couple weeks later, and gotten a Certificate of Live Birth.

Why is Trump a “kook” for demanding answers?

For the same reason that Sully is a kook for his “just askin’ questions” tactics on Trig Trutherism.

There was never any reason to believe that Barack Obama was born anywhere other than Hawaii. Ergo, the presumed “constitutional” controversy over his eligibility was demonstrably idiotic. No previous president had been required to produce a birth certificate, so why now?

As soon as Birtherism arose as a distinct phenomenon, I dismissed it as kooky — I’ll be glad to look up the links, if you wish — and I haven’t done a lot of posting against Birtherism for the simple reason that I never took it seriously. Furthermore, I was never one of those people who (like Frum, as quoted above) automatically interpreted Birthers as racists. But that is, in fact, how the elite always saw it and so, while I didn’t want to jump on the elite dogpile of finger-pointing, I just didn’t see any reason to pour any oxygen on these kooky flames.

A} Prior Presidents needn’t have produced documentation because their pasts weren’t shrouded, DELIBERATELY, purposefully shrouded in mystery.

B} You presumed bad faith on the part of your fellow citizens who at first had questions about his past, as if they were somehow obliged to accept his pronouncements upon such things at face value. No such obligation exists. Indeed, if any obligation exists, it rests with would be presidents to make available to their fellow citizens, to the electorate itself, such information that enables that electorate’s decision to be knowledgeable one. Obama by contrast preferred the electorate to be ignorant of him, his past, his associations.

C} Prescinding from the political merits or demerits in pursuing the birth certificate line of attack, ———— as a general rule it must be maintained that eligibility requirements exist for a reason, and that politicians have a preexisting DUTY to present ALL SUCH documents prior to seeking or holding high office.

I am prepared, despite my hatred and fear of coochie, to plunge into Sarah Palin’s holy of holies, and prove I was right all along about Trig. I will take on Bristol too.

Nationality or citizenship of the parents is irrelevant. A person born in the United States is a citizen of the United States, and of the State and City in which he resides.

IF the parents are not U.S. citizens, under current law the individual may elect upon majority to be a citizen of the US or adopt his parents’ nationality. To accept citizenship in another country, they used to have to formally renounce American citizenship. Nowadays dual citizenship is permitted by law — but all that means is that the individual remains an American citizen.

The issue continues to be “why the obsessive secrecy?” and a compliant Press full of AWOLers who demanded George W. Bush’s documentation back to the Flood, but insisted that we had to take Obama’s (and their) word for it without checking.

Is Donald Trump settled 0bama released? Just few minutes after White House announced it was released some graphic artists downloaded, imported to Adobe Illustrator, clicked “Object” then clicked “Show Hidden Layer.” the supposedly scanned document consists of three layers. If document was scanned to PDF it should be one layer, however, if it was manufactured using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator then save as PDF it will show up when document imported to Illustrator. So what’s the verdict? Your superman is a fraud!
