EXCLUSIVE: Royal Wedding Photo

Guarantee no other site on the Internet has this one:

That’s my 8-year-old daughter Reagan Elizabeth, who got up at 4 a.m. to watch coverage of the royal wedding. Note the tiara. We call her “Princess.” You should hit Ye Merry Olde Tip Jar.

UPDATE: From Her Royal Majesty:

The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince William of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus.
Prince William thus becomes His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge and Miss Catherine Middleton on marriage will become Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge

Sugar and spice … What a sweetheart!

You have sons. Have not told them to never marry a girl whose father calls her “princess”?

  • Anonymous

Heh. In this day and age, they’ll do well enough merely to find a girl who has a father.

Kudos to Mrs. Other McCain and [I suppose] you for raising a daughter who wants to dress like a princess instead of Murphy Brown.

    Baron Carrickfergus

For some reason this sounds like a Marvel Comics supervillain.

Not “The Artist Formerly Known as Princess”?

I want to declare for the record, that I didn’t wakeup early to watch the royal wedding. I think the Royals are just decorative parasites used by the rich to distract the masses from their cattle status. Let’s face it, the powerful bleed us and milk us just as the Masai do to their herds.

Oh, yes, true, they protect us from imaginary lions they invent for us, and they lead us to pastures of dry grass, and muddy wells.

Happy cattle day to you! I hope you enjoyed the show, getting up early, and wearing a silly hat! Haha!

“I want to declare for the record, that I didn’t wakeup early to watch the royal wedding. I think the Royals are just decorative parasites…”

I want to declare for the record that I took time out of three work projects, last-minute babysitting coming up (seven hours, four kids), and creating a presentation for a meeting next week, to watch some videos of the wedding and read about the dress and the designer.

Power hierarchies, along with the poor, will “always be with us,” unless you can somehow convert the world to a utopia. (Try getting political consensus on how to implement a utopia.) It’s easy enough to protest cattleness, but do you have a global solution to human nature?

Why not enjoy all aspects of life? The dress was gorgeous — don’t you appreciate design, whether of architecture or of clothing? The scarlet-and-blue uniform was wonderful. What if men gave up somber business suits and wore suits (if they feel they need to wear suits) in primary colors to work? I think it would improve everyone’s mood, not to mention productivity.

The wedding was a celebration, like Christmas and Easter, like graduations and birthdays and barn raisings. Festivities are “us” and, simply, fun.

I can’t believe you missed it. It was so much fun. We all got together at 1am for tea and scones and turned on the telly.

She was just so gorgeous and her dress was absolutely stunning. And he, OMG, he was the archetypal Prince Charming. Simply radiant and lovely. You just gotta love the pomp and circumstance, the magnitude of the whole show, with so many dignitaries and the masses of people, simply breath taking.

    You definitely missed it gg.
